  • what a mess. haha XD

  • wow! I thought this scene was edited.... smh

  • Thank god the dwellers didn't allow the use of real explosives , instead high pressure nitrogen was used to blow things up which made the scene EPIC!

  • I thought it was all cgi, i wouldn't think they would do all that mess for real ;D

  • What's the name of the song at the end?

  • @Mincaatje Psychosis by Teddy Blass.

  • out of every location in paris i wonder what makes nolan chose this one

  • What is d name of d song in d end? It's freaking awesum!!!!!

  • thats what they get for standing on a pedestrian crosswalk

  • What is the song at the end?

  • This is by far my favourite scene from the movie

  • Why do I get the feeling this was recorded illegally?

  • what did they use 2 blow the stuff up?

  • u like inception: see

    dreambrowse com

  • What is the song? (la chanson) merci! :D

  • I give MASSIVE credits to the actors and actress for not even flinching... Even if you know its coming, its still hard not to flinch..

  • @danroh001 That's a good point. I wonder if such flinching could be avoided by ensuring a relatively noisy environment, e.g. so that explosions would be relatively less noisy and thus less startling. Further, the actors could employ high grade noise reducing earplugs, essentially rendering the explosions as mute as a drop of a pencil...

  • Salut j'adore ta vidéo.J'aurais voulu etre la pour admirer cela.Tu pourrais me donner le titre de la chanson que tu as utilisé en 1:37 s'il te plait.Merci d'avance...

  • Moi qui croyais qu'il y avait que des effets virtuels. Ça devait être sympa a voir en vrai. Surtout la voiture qui dégage.

  • Must know the epic song in the end :O

  • Wow, truly awazing, this is real Filmmaking !!!, i wish i was there,

Chris Nolan is the best ever !!!

  • If u guys notice nolan seldom or raely uses CGI in his film.

He really know how to make a great movie

  • I was amazed when I found out this movie had less cg shots in t then batman begins, which had barly any anyway

  • So they went to paris to film this? :o

  • wow...they really blow shit up, I thought it were CG.

  • and i thought that this scene was CGI.

  • Poor guy who had to clean this up every take. :D

  • The new documentary - In the mind on the Nolan.

  • I don't want to be one of the guys cleaning up that mess...on the other hand, it would be an honour to work in a Nolan movie, even as a janitor!

  • amazing

  • The cool thing about Inception is that alot of it are real, not edited. Like the hallway fight scene, the explosions etc

  • @dennielleflorelee it can't be edited. It is real because it costs MUCH less than being edited and it won't look as good. I'm an editor working with a lot of CGi footages. many things are done on maquettes rather on computer in hollywood; which is impressive in my opinion.

  • @dennielleflorelee

Yeah. Even the city bending !

  • You can sort of imagine Nolan saying, "...and that's how it's done, kids"

  • how did you film that ?

  • Awesome

  • Oh whoops I wasn't rolling....

  • I was an extra and it was a little frightening to walk down the street 10 times with explosions everywhere!

  • The explosions are real, but are touched up with CGI. If you watch the explosions in the final film you can notice that there are particle effects that simply couldn't be achieved on a set.

  • it's a film within a film.

  • If you listen closely you can hear the humming of the high speed cameras (Photo-Sonics 4ER - 360 fps)

  • @shakenama Cool! I thought they were fans for blowing the stuff that was exploded.

  • :O that's all

  • lol i thought the explosions were cgi @_@

  • @radulica No.. Nolan shuns CGI and avoids it as much as possible. In fact he states using CGI in a film is a reminder that you're in a theater watching a movie. Something he wants to avoid. Everything he does is all physical effects, complicated rigs, and well planned stunts.

  • @shakenama well that's really cool of him. :)

  • @shakenama saying there's no CGI in Inception is ridiculous. Sure he may try to avoid it, that doesn't mean that everything he does is on camera.

  • omg awesome high five for not being cgi

  • Yes!

  • holly shit those explotions were real?

  • yééééééééh Morocco <3<3

  • @cecefben This is from Paris?

  • and....RESET!

  • I thought it was CGI!

  • @cuallito me too.. Im sure it was touched up a bit.. maybe..

  • Poor car...

  • wow i thought he used CGI for this. bravo nolan

  • what was the name of the music at the end?

  • I personally think that it wasn't a machine pulling the car across the street. It was the Hulk.

  • I want to know how they created a big frame for the duplication of the city.

  • Of course it aint CG animation. They would have to hand animate all of the objects being shot out from its direction along with turnig the objects in mid air incrementally every split second to make it look convincing. Its a pain in the ass to hand animate all of the objects for that shot alone.

  • @sparda9060 Maybe if you were doing it as a stop-motion clip.

  • @sparda9060 But the cobble-stones and the walls of the buildings exploding in the scene, that's CGI. So the scene is still partly CGI anyway.

  • TOMORROW CAN WAIT new video youtube.com / watch? v = jdexvuj7g5k Thank you very much! - - - RENDERING IMAGINATION - - -

  • The poor bastards who had to clean that mess up have my respect...

  • That's a bit strange...

  • This is so cool!!!

  • @NolanFans hey what is the track you used at the end of this video? nice video by the way!

  • Poor Twingo! XD

  • so..... who is gonna clean all that up??

  • Os caras limparam depois né.

  • I need to just go out and buy this before work lol.

  • I saw some comment here, after that, American people dare to say that we French are arrogant lol....

  • smelly french people wish they could make films as good as this but they cant cuz dere shit

  • @OLLYMCC hahahaha you're right!! .. French movies suck!

  • @yankeeman444 Ever seen Amelie ??? look it up on IMDB, it's a french movie and by all voters, it is the 46th best movie ever, I believe after watching that movie, you will change your mind about french movies sucking

  • And the Oscar goes to, CHRISTOPHER NOLAN!!!!!

  • Wow, that's impressive!

  • Magnifique! >:O

  • HOLY CRAP that sound in 35mm film rolling! O.O

  • @Cartyy it's IMAX which is 65mm but turned sideways. so its 15 perf's per frame.

  • @shaywalton08 But still.. HOLY CRAP! Sounds like a machine gun!

  • i thought it was CG.

  • if you look closely you could see that leo covered his head to avoid the flying objects, what great acting skills when your suppose to be still, 1:40

  • @MrFlickCritic Have you even seen the movie? If so, then you would know that when the flying objects explode next to them, they wake up. They only show Ellen in that shot.

  • I would have been scared to death if I was that waiter standing in the door when the explosions went off.

  • And this is why Inception is the best movie ever.

  • what's the name of the song at the end? is it from the soundtrack?

  • Oh but clean up must've sucked lol

  • INSANE! There's another scene that I thought was complete CGI!

  • holy poop!

  • WOW! The explosion in this scene was NOT CGI?

    My brain is melted...

  • @aquapendulum

No they added a lot of CGI to the scene (such that vegetables and blocks of stone that already exploded blew up into even smaller pieces) but the base explosions were real.

  • @aquapendulum I heard they added little CG elements to the scene.

  • all i wanted was some tea...

  • La pauvre Twingo noire :D

  • This is really awesome. Nolan is a genius!

  • This was real?? I thought it was all CGI! Wow.

  • This is what I will be dreaming tonight

  • So cool! Nolan is just out there filming INCEPTION right outside this apartment or whatever it is!

  • Yes the music at the end? Anyone know it?

  • Amazing. Anyone know the music at the end?

  • Real actioin comes when you don´t animate everything ! Love it :D

  • @SomeThingsNever Yes, but it costs more money. And the studios dont always give you 100-250 mil. to do a movie.

  • @KINGJADEX Wrong! For practical effects, CGI always costs a LOT more money than practical effects (with the exclusion of Titanic and that big damn boat). CGI also looks less convincing than reality does at the moment.

  • @unbrokenjack Than why do people always run to CGI if practical effects are cheaper and more realistic?

  • @KINGJADEX People go to CGI because of freedom. You could put the camera in crazy places without the fear of the crew's life. In Jurassic Park, do you think they could have a running robot that's the height of a two story building?

Miniatures are still being used a lot today. It's a hell lot more cheaper, and if scaled right, better than any current CGI could produce.

  • DO A BARREL ROLL

  • This is how action films should be filmed..

  • @gorakaraz1 Yes, action films with big budgets. It's not like filming those scenes are cheap and they have a huge name actor, director and studio attached to a project. Money is barely an object...

  • @gorakaraz1 what do you mean?

  • This is how real genius (Nolan) works

  • where that stunt doubles siting on the table where cobb and ariadne sit in the movie when the explosions start?

  • thats so cool.

  • I saw this video before here on YouTube, even before the movie was out. It's really cool to see how they filmed it now that the movie is released! Thanks for posting!

  • Cool

  • wow ............ :=)

  • what a cool job.

  • Awesome.

  • so amazing......so that's how they did it....cool stuff...

  • @coolmartcol compressed nitrogen and Nolan

  • So cool.
