... fishy.. This booth should have already had the WIFI profile on the device - seems like their trying to hide the browser performance from us. This spokesperson also doesn't seem to know very much about this device.. Also did you see when he slid out the main menu - that animation was not smooth... It seems to be priced too high for this quality.
you chinese bastards are a rip off. And the Sciphone was a piece of shit. Do not EVER buy these products, they are a waste of money with the lowest cheapest components used. Buy an Archos or wait for the Ipad, these fuckers wont give you your money back if anything goes wrong. AVOID like the plague.
I don't think it has a cell radio but on 2:53, It has call settings. Maybe it's just because the OS came from the phone and everything got transfered.
No hardware keyboard and no demonstration of portrait orientation support are detractors, though. Android is also a relatively young platform, thus resulting in a lack of apps, but that will be fixed in time.
Just add a capacitive stylus, some good handwriting apps, and I'll have a very good hx4700 replacement candidate, so long as they keep the price to under US$400.
Now I'm even more intrigued by Android, whereas most of my attention usually goes to Windows Mobile with a bit of Maemo on the side. (As flawed as WM is, the apps I have for it let me do things no other platform currently can, at least until the developers get rolling on these other platforms. However, time is eroding away that advantage...)
Did anyone else realize that the MacBook is running Windows XP?

Now this is more like it!

It seemed pretty beta to me as well.
We do know that the next versions of Android will support handwriting recognition over the entire system and larger resolution support.
Should be good!

Handwriting recognition everywhere? Really?
