  • So true.

  • Great cover of David Cameron's song by Tim Minchin

  • he looks so damn creepy when he says im not pretending anymore xD

  • Who the fuck is Dane cook??

I'm from China, and I know Tim minchin~ But I hv no idea no the heck Dane cook is...

  • This is now my favourite song (Y)

  • But atheism is a nonsensical lie. Nothing comes from nothing......and if you think it does....it just shows how illogical you are. Wait till Islam gets you! CATHOLIC STATE for me though!!

  • @amaqula Nothing comes from nothing then where did god come from he cant come from nothing and he cant have always been

  • @AndrewBouchierUK

God always was...dopey.....that is the FIRST characteristic of God! CATHOLIC STATE for me!!

  • @amaqula that's mathematically impossible with out even going into the fact that intelligence needs time to grow and learn and if god had to learn then he is not god your asking for us to think he always was even tho that's impossible and that he knew all things from the start even tho you just said there was no start for him that is two things that are impossible and we know that the big bang was the start of time

  • @AndrewBouchierUK

It's perfectly mathematical. After all....mathematics allows for infinity....and so does a circle...and so does the natural world. But science or maths never allow that nothing comes from nothing. Catholicism is soooooo scientific....while atheism is such a funny joke. That's why atheists are very bad at science.....and everything else. Thank God they won't be around long. And they like women sterile too. LOL... it just never stops.....CATHOLIC STATE for me though!!

  • @amaqula Catholicism is not scientific and we are not on about infinity and there is a way of getting something from nothing but a part from that what makes you think Catholicism is scientific I mean if they where getting all the stuff right and there not how come they dont have anything to show for it when scientists do and btw I looked it up even in the 1800 most scientists where not that religious most not even religious in todays standards and in the 1950 most where atheists

  • @AndrewBouchierUK

Actually nothing in Catholicism contradicts science and nothing in science contradicts Catholicism. They both come from God. But atheism being untrue contradicts both scientific and spiritual truth. The greatest scientists in history were Christians in Christendom....with some honorary Jewish ones. Today's atheist scientists cannot break theoretical boundaries....very poor. They don't even know what science is. Monk scientists to the rescue please! CATHOLIC STATE for me!

  • @amaqula omg you loop back and said the same thing as you did a long time ago word by word so i will just copy something as well

The standard model contradicts the existence of angels. Angels cannot exist in the standard model. But a catholic must believe in their existence. The standard model contradicts resurrection. This follows from thermodynamics.

  • @AndrewBouchierUK

Angels do exist.....outside of the standard model. Standard model will soon be superseeded for a more complex and true model. The law of Thermodynamics ....being God's law....He can suspend it if and when he wants! And to think you are a scientist. LOL.....how low the standards in science are under the atheists. CATHOLIC STATE for me!

  • @amaqula I am not a scientist and no angels cant exist in our model and "The law of Thermodynamics" there's more then one can you name them? did you pass science in school just want to know that one because I am betting you did not but then your lie to me so its a bit pointless to ask you but from what you say to back up what you think has always been vary poor your use of maths is bad and you keep using words from science that disprove you so that shows you have no understanding of them

  • @AndrewBouchierUK

The laws of Thermodynamics are too primitive and limited.....and since angels exist outside their scope scientists have just not been clever enough to produce anything beyond these laws at the moment. But such laws do exists which can explain the existence of angels....though our brains are probably far too limited. As I said......science never ever contradicts Catholicism....and never will....cos both come from God. CATHOLIC STATE is great though!!!

  • @amaqula what your doing is making up stuff to fit what you think your now making up that there are laws that fit angels existing and that we humans are not clever enough yet to work or find out those laws theres more then one thing saying angels cant exist but you being you will just say we dont have a full understanding of X and when we do it will fit what you have said all a long to bad your wrong

  • @AndrewBouchierUK 2) The problem is, that the attributes of the world aren't ontologically available. Ergo causality is always made up by humans. This leads to the problem that it isn't possible to verify any theory regardless of whether you talk about physics, religions or something else. Before you act like you know what you are talking about, read the works of Karl Popper, Thomas Kuhn and Imre Lakatosh.

  • @agro0

I disagree. The attributes of the world are there for us to decipher if we are clever enough.....bot the scientific and the moral. And the moral laws are fixed as the scientific ones and have been revealed to us......and those societies that contradict them are guilty of irrationality and creating an unreal world that exists only in their heads. I advise those you mention to read the great works of Christianity. CATHOLIC STATE please!

  • @amaqula well, you didn't understand a single word of what I was talking about. Try to get educated. Better luck next time.

  • @amaqula why are you on a Tim MInchin video? he is critical of all faiths and dogmas. as am I. I did try to crack the code you are writing in ... but I can't make heads or tails out of it!

  • @AndrewBouchierUK sorry andrew, second comment was also for amaqula, not for you ;)

  • @amaqula 1) Hello. I've just read your little discussion with andrew. There's one thing I want to point out. It seems that you think that you know alot about science or what science is or how it works. But to be honest, it seems that you don't know that much about it. You said that laws do exist that can explain the existance of angels. Unfortunately it isn't possible to create something like a "true theory" or a "treu model of the world".

  • @amaqula We will never ever have a Catholic state religion is leaving England. You are a minority.

  • @ScienceAndTurtles isn't it really neat how far england has come from super god-nazis to a WAAAAAAY more relaxed country that doesn't mind open talk about religion :D

  • there is a song called the pope song from Tim its fucking hilarious :P

  • 1:13

  • For some reason I felt like the transcribed audio was creating some really deep message until it reached 0:57 : "then leave the room full of little women and minorities"

  • Pure genius. This song always cracks me up right before I know he's going to say FUCK THE POOR!

  • Stowligashniqoniglawalala!!!!!

  • fuck the poor FTW lmao

  • Comment removed

  • Don't forget to pause on 1:40/1:41!

  • @YooToobCanSuckIt just did that... lol!

  • Shit. I accidentally gave you a thumbs down instead of a thumbs up. =[

  • Tim is God. =]

  • fuck peter heliar is a fuckwit. look at him standing there trying to cash in on the laughs from minchins song.

  • agreed

  • @huwgojones

he's part of the act dimwit...

  • @cchhppzz no shit. He's the un-funny, no contributing part.

  • @huwgojones hardly non-contributing, he acts as a sort of buffer

  • @cchhppzz yes, he does act as a buffer. A buffer between the audience and the performer. Hence his non contributing, annoying, presence.

  • Amusing as it is, this song is uncomfortably close to the truth. I'm quite happy to support homelessness charities or whatever but as for actually doing some work with the homeless, I'd rather give them "50 bucks to take away my guilt."

  • WHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH you think its "f*ck the pope"!? its f*ck the poor

  • Fuck the pope too.

  • Agreed, fuck the pope and fuck all religions

  • @2007PHATE you're practically a fucking prophet mate. I think you are going to be the one to lead us to a new revoluion.

  • @kitDBC Ha ha...........16 thumbs up though i might be onto something lol

  • @2007PHATE Yeah, fuck those people and their ability to believe what they like. :)

  • @2007PHATE who mentioned the pope ?

  • @2007PHATE We're not talking about religion, we're talking about fucking the poor.

  • @compulsivetroll777

Religulous people are also poor...they have one brain less:(

  • @khadzad A HA AHAHA go fuck yourself.

  • @2007PHATE What? That's incredibly irrelevant.

  • It's "f* the poor" and not the pope

  • how the hell can u get that to "fuck the pope"???

  • I kept thinking he was saying "Fuck the pope" and wondered how the hell they got away with saying it

  • what accent do you have that makes poor sound like pope? hahaha

  • It was the first time I heard it, and for Tim Minchin it wouldn't surprise me :p

  • hahaha true

  • exactly...that's what i was thinking...it can only sound like poor...lol

  • hahah I have really bad hearing and I dont understand where he got it from- I am assuming it is 'projection' and he is religious in some way hahah.

  • why shouldn't he get away with saying '' fuck th pope''?

  • I have no idea how you heard pope?

  • That's a song I'd listen to!

  • comedians should be allowed to get away with anything they say, especially if its directed towards the church.

  • totally

  • @pianokeynecktiejuice sorry dude, but you obviously didn't understand what the song is about...

  • @pianokeynecktiejuice in that case i got a whole whack of atheism jokes to tell

  • @misternipples100 go for it. but if they're lame you get punched

  • @FrakkinMovies thats understandable, i'd punch me to if i said lame jokes

  • I'm more interested in footy than seeing the what?

  • the solomons rebuilt

  • the solomons re-built

  • "Seeing the Solomons rebuilt", I guess referring to the tsumani that hit the Solomon Islands the year this was filmed

  • Solomons rebuilt - Solomon Islands - Since 1998 ethnic violence, government misconduct and crime have undermined stability and society. In June 2003 an Australian-led multinational force, the Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands (RAMSI), arrived to restore peace, disarm ethnic militias and improve civil governance.

  • More interested in footy, eh? Wonder what team he supports. XD

  • You should ask his wife ^^

  • He lives in North London and said on a Radio1 interview that he hates Spurs, so most likely Arsenal.

  • Gonna see him again this friday

  • I <3 him so much.

  • Very funny and very clever song. I've met so many people that are like this, in terms of giving money to charities just to alleviate their guilt.

  • Nothing wrong with giving money to charity, whatever the motivation.

  • he does?

  • In my opinion, he looks like one of those masterminds that plan something really evil, but thats my opinion.

  • He does, but he's still brilliant.

  • Yes, we all know that.

  • oh yeh he looks like a full on creepy bastard but gotta love hes funny as funk

  • hahaa i saw him at reading festival. absolutely awesome, and the crowd was way more lively than this

  • It's supposed to be ironic - he's attacking people who give to charity not for goodwill but to alleviate their guilt. Many of his songs are in some way attacking the follies of society.

  • fuuckk thee poorrr lol.. this song is so catchy.. and hes gawjuss xxxx

  • That does look like Lindsay in the middle doesn't it, anyone know?

  • That's a joke, right?

  • no he is totally serious

  • True, true

  • he has an awsom voice

  • Join the FaceBook group "Tim Minchin: New Messiah?" for regular updates & video highlights. You can also meet other people who appreciate Minch.

  • isnt this called "f**k the ppor?"

  • the official name is the guilt song. i had fuck the poor there but people kept spamming with porn sites. that seems to have stopped now that i removed the language from the title

  • @WakingIt point that fuck the poor its a spoiler

  • this guy is a fantastic.

  • I really like this song

going to see him soon when he comes to the UK!!!

just wanna know; is that Robert Lindsay in the middle of the three backing singers that come out?

    thanks for the video!

  • i see him on thursday =D

  • absolute comic genius, and so rarely heard, so unique, fuckin love it

  • fuck the poor...

    LOL

    this guy is a genious

  • I'll give you fifty bucks to take away my guilt lol

  • However, people cant be bothered, so instead of making a real contribution, they give money to charity so that they can feel less guilty about the lifestyles they lead. It fits in with Tims semi-ironic songs on Canvas bags etc.

  • No hes not. Hes saying that people donate to charities not because they care about the world problems (the poor etc), but because they feel guilty. Making a real difference in tackling these problems would require genuine lifestyle changes for the world population, including living less wastefully/ buying less pointless stuff (like vodka cranberries).

  • i reckon most of the money pays for their fancy leaders to have decent stuff not actually help anyone poor =/

  • People seem to think that Tim is mocking or pointing out the ethical problems with people who don't donate.

To me, he's just pointing out the flaw that most charities have when they try force people to have compassion for someone they will never meet.

It may not be a nice message, but it's fairly accurate.

  • Idiot how?

I think thats just ad hominem, go check the interviews. :)

And tit for tat, your being a cunt, I'm quite happy for people to correct me, but your attitude is just to confrontational.

  • Well that was well thought out and considered.

What Tim is saying is, why should we give money to the poor people in other countries, if we will never meet them or see what impact our donations will have.

  • love it

  • this song made me donate

  • I have never understood why people don't see this as an actual problem. I mean, they don't care because well, "fuck the poor", but I would think it would be acknowledged more.

  • If you really want to solve the problem you need a better functioning government and a better regulated economy. it's better to create more jobs than give more handouts. Bill Gates has done more to help people by creating jobs than Mother Theresa has through community service.

  • well we cant pay for the jobs because there are no consumers to supply the businesses with profit. But if we do goverment jobs like we did with the new deal then it might work :)

    america...its a bitch!

  • why is there so much spam on this video?

  • i agree - Tim deserves better than that

  • The name of the video could be one reason...

  • True. If srtendulkar10 is reading this, maybe you could reupload this just as Tim Minchin - The Guilt Song?

  • Probably cause the video name has the F-word in it...

  • Because the title has the word "fuck" in it.

  • can't get this song out of my head!

    love it.

  • he was, is and always will be an EFFING GENIUS!

  • Adam Lane likes Tim Minchin!

  • I agree that Tim is GOD!

  • wtf fuck off with the porn you sick fucks

  • TIM IS GOD

  • agreed!

  • He starts off by saying 50 cents to take away his guilt then changes that to 50 bucks later???

Anyway genius best thing that has happened to musical comedy since Bill Bailey

  • They're in separate verses; the 50 cents refers to what he would give to the guy wiping his windscreen, the 50 bucks to what he would give to a charity telethon.

  • Brilliant!

  • love the harmonys

  • You've just gotta love him! And bonus he's from Perth, just like me! Now, unlike before, I feel so honoured to have been born there!

Hes funny, intelligent, a musical genius what more can we ask from him?!

Apart from the usual "come to [insert place name here]", of course.

And I, like so many others, have found the one true God.

Although it is a bit awkward as Tim is an atheist, so therefore he would have to not believe in his own existence if he acknowledged our beliefs...

  • hahahaha

  • I really think your looking WAY to far into this; You, Him, Perth and God thing.

    Sit back, enjoy the music...

  • I felt guilty too when I gave that 5 starts...

  • Tim Minchin and Peter Helliar = winning combo

  • the idea behind it is the IT. bang on thats what is really happening. wait what have i dono about it not much to be fair, hmm.... back to reality?

  • i LOVE this guy !

  • lol Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala makes sense. but no matter how many times i hear it and stare at the words thinking over and over that that is what he is saying i still cant hear anything that could be considered english, weather he is australian or not.

  • 10 internets to the man that tell me what fatty said at 2:06. i heard "nobodyslashnovody pes lu gowa"

yeah i dont fucking know what i just said either...

  • melbourne international comedy festival gala thankyou for coming!!!!

  • 0killthebatman0

He said "Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala"

  • he said melbourneinternationalcomedyfestivalgala and stop saying fuck

  • take away my guilt...

    fuck the poor...

I'll give you $50 to take away my guilt...

  • I love Tim Minchin, and i don't have to be Australian or English to understand his witty and ironic humor all the time. You just have to listen.

Other then that amazing artist I wish he'd tour America.

  • Do you guys not get our humour then?

-I'm english... of course... best country in the world... :-D... casual patrotism...

  • I can assure you, plenty of Americans get British humor. It's just the massive throngs of ignorant idiots who over shadow us that you normally see. Plenty Americans love this kind of stuff.

  • ENGLAND SUCKS :D

    i fucking live here :P

  • Tim Minchin is hilarious!!

  • dane cook just recycles old material

  • Made sense to me. Sure there were a few spelling mistakes but there were some in your post before that. you either meant "Britain and Australia are lacking culture" or "British and Australians are lacking culture." None of which you wrote. So just make sure you check your own grammar before you criticise others (It may just keep you from looking like a fool)

  • try using grammar, cause none of that made sense

  • Aw, I'm not British or Australian and I absolutely LOVE Tim Minchin- witty humor is the best! I find some of Dane Cook's material funny, but he is not very consistent, and someone said it before- his humor is a bit 'brainless.' But still a good laugh.

  • This dude is just as funny Dane "The Cook... and you don't have to british to understand and love this guy

  • lolz i luv this song!!! :D:D:D:D i also luv dane cook... both guys make me laugh until i cant breathe!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Haha! Now that's a good one coming from an American! I was going to say that you probably don't understand Tim Minchin's comedy because you don't understand the subtleties of irony. But after a comment like that, it clearly can't be true.

  • does anyone else think he souns a little like james blunt only better....?

  • Dane cook has few good jokes but "vicious circle" and "rough around the edges" is the biggest joke of all, saying that Dane cook is funnier than Tim Minchin is like saying a blind guy beat me at "i spy"

  • just wondering if you hate tim minchin why are you always looking at this video?

  • oh i understand i get bored too lol

  • Id like to say as an American this guy is awesome, his wit and intellect that he throws into his perfomances make me die laughing, and Dane cook does not even hold a candle to this guy, once youve heard one of his jokes youve heard them all, some of his stuff is humorous but it gets very old very fast...

  • i agree Dane cook's material is shit the only reason people like him is because he is moderately attractive and has good delivery lol

  • funny that danes legion of fans would outnumber this unknown by 10-1 though, dont you think? kinda says something...
