  • I downloaded smb for the wii does it work there

  • Is this on Super Mario Crossover?

  • @MexicanChamp1000 no, Super Mario Bros. Crossover doesn't include this bug.

  • se entra por arriba cuando suben los elevadores.. k pendejo eres. puto

  • @Alxx961 no seas pendejo jajaajaj

  • Does this work on the 'Super Mario Brothers + Duck Hunt' Version?

  • @Pichu441 yes thats what i used to do it on

  • You spent half the video making the screen get closer to the right. That's not even a step needed to do this. Just break the damn blocks and jump.

  • Does it work for all-stars?

  • @trampolini40 nope, if it was the original game it would work (all of these are emulating the classic) however s.m.allstars is a remake of this game, so it does not work

  • ummm... fail

  • Can I do this walkthrough in NSMB (NEW) on Wii?

  • This isn't Mario Bros This is Super Mario Bros There is already a game called mario bros it's really old

  • THIS VIDEO MADE ME A MAN

  • Actuality, if you put a flag pole in world -1 with a map editor, you can go all the way to world -4!

  • You guys serious? It was on the original NES release. I couldn't comment why it was removed from the remakes and Deluxe versions for sure; however, an easy guess is that it was an easter egg made by the programmers that Nintendo didn't want. Somewhat similar to the chris houlihan room in Zelda: A link to the past, where Nintendo constantly tried to remove the easter egg, and the programmers kept putting it in until one time it slipped past nintendo and into the game permanently.

  • @ndfan4190 The Chris Houlihan room was actually from a contest from Nintendo Power or something way back in the day. The winner of the contest could get their name into an upcoming Nintendo game, and Chris Houlihan won :)

  • @ndfan4190 it wasnt an easter egg, it was a glitch. the levels were made up of raw bits of data, and thats why they were so random. the world was actually 36-1 or something like that, but there isnt a graphic for 36, so you only see -1

  • So did they intentionally do this?

  • @Nick19997 No it was a mistake. If it was on purpose, why remove it in all remakes and Deluxe versions?

  • is this a glitch, or was it in the game purpousely?

  • @linksonickirby Of course not.

  • world -1 never ends O_o

i just entered the pipe at the end and

got spawned to the beginning of the level.

    IT NEVER ENDS!!!

  • Yea it does.

If you collect all the coins and take a specific route, it will take you to world -2.

Take notice that the negative levels are an underwater version of the normal levels. It's

  • @adultswim105 No that was actually a hoax. You can only go past -1 in the Japanese version, in which the levels are different entirely.

  • Thanks, I was just reading about that in a forum and was confused myself a little bit.

So it serves no purpose, except for that cool music

  • @MaTTTaX You must be a fan of Super Mario Bros. Z.

  • @linksonickirby yeah.

  • The - in the world -1 is really the dash between the world and the level. It is actually 36-1, but the game can't display the 36 (I can't remember why) and will only display -1.

  • i went against the block but mario just like bumped against it! and i did this on the wii too. i bought with the wii points

  • does this work for the Gameboy Advance?

  • any way its the same game

  • you said negative worlds, so does that mean that there is more???

  • World -1 XDDDD

  • @ForgedFox yes it is u go thur the level there a pipe and it sends u back to the start

  • @ForgedFox yes

  • It was actually supposed to be the dash sign like in 1-1, but then there was no world so it was just -1 like a negative.

  • its world 36-1

  • @ForgedFox Only in the Japanese version of the game. It goes -2, -3, -4 etc.

  • I used to stand on the green tunnel's edge (but not hanging over at all), then hold "duck" down, and jump while still "ducked". You had to hit the brick wall while still "ducked" to get through. You should be able to get it on a few trys...once the bricks broke it wouldn't work.

    Try it that way.

  • u cant do it help me plz ive do exactly what he does

  • Would This Work If I Went Through The Pipe That Leads To World 3?

  • you can swim out of the hole 2. u just have 2 keep pressing the button before the level starts

  • This is beautiful

  • That cool.

  • ive done this

  • no i tried it and it works

  • to: Zach2235. It's simple to record wii. Just plug your Wii TV and audio connectors to your Video recording card/USP device. (note vista got problems with these devices) Or then you record these on DVD and rip/convert edit it to youtube video. It's harder the other way if you don't know how.

  • can you do it on game boy colour?

  • Well, theoretically, yes... The games back on these cartriges needed all 255 bits occupied. Meaning, if a game like Kirby only had 100 levels, then there would be 155 "negative" worlds. These worlds though would simply contain no data and the level would be nothing, maybe some discarded data or random sprites... but it is EXTREMELY rare that the level would be playable, much less accessible. Most negative worlds could never be accessed in game. This mario example was a HIGHLY rare occurance!!

  • @Jessetime07 do games nowadays need a certain amount of bits occupied too? So there would be negative worlds in games like on the ds? just asking

  • Oh,man.You cant do this.

  • can you do this in super mario all stars?

  • No.Only the originals.

  • or looks easy

  • that sounds easy

  • No its not trust me, Your actually supposed to do this thing crouched down or else you break the block

  • was this a bug, or was it just put there by the creators?

  • who would want onions at a time like this!!

  • i play this on wii and it works every time [ p,s, if you have a cheat code or game shark you do get a jet pack]

  • Back in 1988 or so we heard about about this negative world from a friend in school. It took us hours to get there, but we did it. The guy told us that after you complete the minus world that you'd get a rocket pack and fly around. Turns out that was not true. People are still interested in this 20+ years later. Amazing.

  • Ha. Same here. I remember hearing about this from my older brother when I was 6. I'm now 26. Gotta love the good ole' days, eh?

  • Yes, This was actually on a Wii.

  • what?!?!?! no, impossible

  • does it also work 4 the gameboy color 1 too?

  • No, this bug has been fixed.

  • @Andyzoob Picture the Wii version as a built in NES cartridge as every single element was actually copied - besides not playing the game on an NES the game is the exact same thing.

  • @Andyzoob is it work on computer?

  • @Andyzoob it's also work for 3DS ^^

  • its supposed to be a test lvl for creators to test the water but forgot to take it out

  • that's not true. the warp pipes carries values or variables that determine where it shall lead, but this value isn't loaded before the screen is fully scrolled (when the text "welcome to warp zone" is shown). The game get "confused", because the value in memory (some random number, but the same number every time) doesn't point to a real level, and this glitch occur.

  • I think his right...considering it was an 8-bit game...they had very limited space and I've already seen 3 other unreleased maps and not of them was a water level....so mirabilis is right.

  • Its not an opinion, its a fact!

Its an 8 bit game and all 255 bits need to be in use at all times, the pipe is a variable that holds a bit, so when all 255 bits are not needed, any excess thing that can hold a bit is assigned a "holder" bit, they are only used to store data. The holder bits are replaced with the "Actual" bit, when your character passes the end of walkway, the game designers stored data in that pipe because they didn't think you could go into the pipe w/o activating the trigger.

  • Opinions aren't fact.

  • Comment removed

  • Where do the other pipes lead?

  • world 2 world 3 and world 4

  • World 5 is the middle pipe. The third pipe is too distant. If you get to the third pipe, the piranha plants will disappear and it will change into the warp zone.

  • i can never get this to work

  • i FINALLY did. Lol

  • It does not work in Super Mario All Stars.

  • if you wana no wat it is its a glitch you enter warp zone thrue a way that dosnt load the text and the warp data so it dont no what world its loading but starts at the first level like (world)1-(level)1 so it loads some sort of test level at the first part that has no world name so it appears as -1 and thats what i think

  • Technically -1 isn't negative one, but actually world 0-1. It's just not allowed to use the number 0 in world numbers, so it has to be blank.

  • is this a glitch or the ultimate secret?

  • It's the weirdest glitch that is encounterable.

  • there is an end but when you get there you just do the level again

  • y'd u do all that crap at the beginning?

  • He's making a space into the new area, which can only be done by trying to move the screen towards the right more. Otherwise Mario would be stuck in the bricks

  • thanks for the info

  • no... u dont have to do that... i used to do it all the time when i was a kid. i hust now did it again on the virtaul console. u dont have to do that whole thing hes doing at the beginning, u wont get stuck in the wall

  • only the one by the tunnel really needs to stay...

  • you cant beat -1 the whole level is looped. theres no end to it.

  • how can we beat the -1 cuz there always the same level :) thx for all

  • There really is no -1 world, it's just a bug, not a feature; you can't expect it to work properly.

  • i did it but why im in the -1 and im not able to finish the leve -1? I mean im always restarting the level and the time is always going down. So how can we beat the -1 :) thx for all

  • oh yeaaah i remember seeing this on G4. honestly, this world cannot be beaten. there is no end... guess thats why its so much fun :D too bad i dont like the water levels much, but ill give it a shot anyways

  • how do you do this on the remake for Super Nintendo? (Super Mario All-stars)

  • u cant. this was a glitch only for Nintendo

  • sweet

  • Do u have to leave the block above the pipe to jump to the pipes with the parana plants

  • because if you do this the other way they're warp pipes to different levels

  • Not to mention The middle one takes you to 5-1
