so you dont need a screw driver to put under the anode cap just to discharge it, you just disconnect the high voltage lead from the flyback transformer

You probably don't remember posting your comment here because it was 8 months ago, but a CRT is a Cathode Ray Tube which uses an electron gun heated by a cathode to shoot red, green, and blue electrons at the front of the vacuum tube which is coated in phosphor which lights up when hit.
