LOL! This sport is like tennis and badminton combined, but it's nowhere as good as neither tennis or badminton.

Fact is, badminton is THE fastest racket sport ever recorded so far, and tennis require lots of stamina and strength in order to create fast strokes while running from side to side and ect. Whereas this sport... it doesn't even have a net!! But to be quite honest, it does looks fun haha!

In badminton you need great tactics. Also the proof is just look at the bodies or built of the players who play in finals here in speedminton. Compare it to the players in badminton who always play in the finals. damn good . one thing more in badminton ,take my advise you need bigger, stronger legs and a light strong compact upper body in order to take the full court during singles matches.

Faster you mean ok then so easy to play. in badminton variation of shots are necessary + postve mentality

This is a hobby, not a sport. The players move less and require less reflex than in ping pong (table tennis). It requires a bit more power since the racket is heavier but the shuttle requires no power for it to go far so... no effort there. Definitely no where as fast as badminton, i'd like to see the proof.

nonetheless... if they can have a world series of backgammon, i dont see a reason to look down on speedminton. it looks fun

Whoever said that this is stupid and offensive to badminton. I play tennis and Janpintenman, you've just offended the sport I play by saying you can play this on a tennis court. This is a sport where people who can't play badminton and tennis. maybe you play badminton faster but that just because these people are noobs, speedminton is not a noobsport. it's proven the shuttles in speedminton go faster than shuttles in badminton.

and uchihasasuke: it does have its own court but you can use a tenniscourt for it. A speedminton court is made of two 18-inch squares that are 42 inches apart. No net is needed.

and it's a very new sport so it is logical there is not any international recognition yet.

please at lease get the facts somewhere that speedminton goes faster because the fastest badmitnon smash is 424km/hr if im not mistaken, I still say it's a poor excuse for a sport cuz it just basically combined three other ones. sorry this sport doesn't even look cool...

ich glaub das wirkt nur so schnell, weil die schläger schwerer sind als beim badminton und beim schwungholen etwas knapper sein kann mit dem ball treffen....

i pretty much agree... this is a poor excuse for a sport... it uses a tennis court, so it doesn't even have it's own court, as far as i know it's not an Olympic sport or an international one, and the speed of this sport is definitely slower than badminton, doesn't even really have footwork

No it dosn´t. of course there is i court you have to serve inside the court otherwise the ball is "out". It is a extremely nice new sport ! you can play everywhere, garden, beach and so on...
