When I watched LOTR, I, too, was struck by the intense friendship - which reminded me of me and my best friend...Hats off to the video-maker! You did a great job and chose a great song (a favorite of mine) and combined the two to really hit home about the meaning of friendship.

Oh, I also meant to say that Nickel Creek deserves this kind of imagery. I can imagine all of their songs with backgrounds in Rivendell, or maybe a wood somewhere or a lake. Well. All of them except maybe Toxic- but that's not really theirs. I love at 3:22 where Frodo's going to put the Ring on and Sam grasps his hand to stop him. That just speaks volumes about friendship.

Thanks for reminding me of my first true example of friendship, and the good things I established in my way of thinking when I was young. I'm going off on my own right now, so this song really means a lot to me- and Frodo and Sam's friendship reminds me that I really do have great friends- the best in the world. They'd kill me right now for being so sappy^_^.

You are so right. If this were real, this is a guy who would risk his own life 50 times over to save that of his buddy's. His friend, not his "partner." It's sickos that turn this dirty that ruin these movies. This is a great set of movies that will, if not already have, go down in history as classic.
