The network tried to kill the rating by moving the show 3 TIMES!!! in different days of the week thus confusing the potential viewers and finally, at the high time of Boston Legals popularity, FOX simply called David E. Kelley and told him there won't be a next season, although it was known that most of its audiences earned more than 100,000$ a year (the ideal audiences for marketing)
