Great tutorial, thanks. I would like to understand this style more, I know this pattern for congas, but I still dont get what its really about. I have seen the video with Rebeca Mauleon and Changuito... but its quite difficult, many patterns and variations. Any suggestions where to get more information about this style? thanks
@gtjeff23 hola soy MIrta una buena amiga de hace muchos años del maestro Panga y le puedo dar su correo si gusta de comunicarse directamente con el ya que ahora se encuentra en su pais Cuba elpanga@500kmai.com
I've just learned the Songo pattern on tumbadora's and Timbales/clavé/bell in my Latin Percussion class at college. This movie will be a good reference for me when I forget it, which is bound to happen. I'll try and keep on top of this one, cos I love playing Songo on drums!
Thanks so much for the positive feed back. As I've been telling everyone else, these videos have been with me for 6 years on my desktop. I view them everyday but never showed them to anyone other than a few musician friends. There is so much to share, so stay tuned. -rq
