but i hate the damn 3D models especially the monsters why doesnt they just make HD sprites just like they did with the texures?!, it would look alot better! the only spritegame that has descent 3d models is duke3Dhrp but in that the pig-cops looks wierd n not as good as they could have been...
I have played DooM since I was a little kid (it was my first game, in fact) and now that the graphics are improved as much as this video shows I think it would be a great time to get back to this all time classic of shooting games. Thanks, man!
dude, is there a way to play ultimate doom, doom2 and final doom with 2d models but with better graphics? I dont like these 3d models, i prefer the old 2d sprites, so im re-playing ultimate doom on zdoom at 1680x1050 but the graphics still are a bit outdated...
@CZorg I fixed it. I'm using the stable release, not the newer beta so it doesn't have a Snowberry folder. I had to put it in the Data folder and create a new "auto" folder and place it in there. :) Everything works great except for my Xbox 360 controller. I'm trying to get that to work with my PC and the configuration is retarded on it Y_Y

this looks sloppy and slow- exactly what you're trying to avoid from more moder shooters when you pop in DOOM in the first place.

I think I need a .ksa file for the high res textures :/ the link only gave me the pk3

I'm using the .pk3 file in this video, so if you're running Doom through Doomsday Engine or SnowBerry the .pk3 should work fine.
