  • Not a 110 buddy it was a 310 which has been sent on its way in favour of a much better sounding Vintage V400 mahogany that cost £130. Go figure!

  • is that a trusty 110?

  • Fantastic. When I master the technique of that style of guitar playing, I'm going to learn this first.

  • Very well-played! (and this from a "Fahey-head" from the late sixties!)

  • Its in Open D.

  • whats the tuning man?

  • This is easily one of the best covers of this one, that i've seen on youtube.

    Good job!

  • whats the tuning on this tune

  • @southsidesick open d. great tuning, and easy to improvise on. try it, if you play.

  • this is not john fahey playing the guitar ...

CHANGE THE TITLE ... YOU'RE USING HIS NAME TO GET VIEWS FROM PEOPLE LOOKING FOR ... JOHN FAHEY .

    this is not good ...

l've just spend some minutes of my life watching something which if it had the correct name l would never see it ...

    Although you play good ...

  • Excellent job. As good as Fahey. Agree with tubingtomtom about the Taylor - superb sound. I'd love to hear this on a Martin D-45.

  • Is he really using just his fingers? That's such a clear tone!

  • Nice job. Beautiful sound too. This is my favorite "Freight Train" derived song that Fahey did. I like it even better than "Poor Boys", when done right.

  • Highly enjoyable! Has a hint of 'Poor Boys..' but just a hint. You have talent, my friend!

  • Well done.

  • your version reminds me of "page and plant" a lot

  • page wishes !!!

  • this is really lovely - a beautiful beautiful rendition. thank you so very much for sharing : )

  • te quedó muy bueno, maestro.

si te dejás la barba capaz que pasás por el Fahey.

    Very good! master.

if you left your beard grow, we'll say that Fahey isn't dead.

  • That natural reverb you have going is very tasty. Excellent job. John would be proud.

  • Your going to love your new Taylor over all others before long. If not already. Love the sound.

  • what kind of guitar?

  • i need a tutorial or mabye some tabs or something:o

  • hi nice playing i tried this tune with 12 string guitar, best regards friedel

  • im learnign this song now. its so easy but it sounds great. amazing job,

  • Beautiful job, beautiful tune! Sounds a lot like Fahey! ;P

  • you have the right "Fahey bounce"...great job!

  • I always make my way back to this video on youtube. Thanks!

  • Thanx malakisi I'm grateful for your support.

  • @malakisi Me too, really like this one it's a great version

  • what tuning is this in?

  • open d

  • Thank you so much for doing this video. I'm trying to learn this song and the tabs I found are almost exactly the same as the way you play it! I've seen other videos on youtube that I don't understand how they could be playing this song. But I'll get it thanks to this video.

  • Hi, I love the way you play this, great taste! BTW that's an open tuning I bet. Which one?

  • it's an open i think, DADF#AD

  • awesome, it's the arrangement from fahey, kottke, lang. do you do requests? if so, would you be able to tackle the Old Southern Medley?

  • Dude, you have seriously good style. Great version.

  • 1AB, I really love how you took the basic song and then made it your own...wonderful and insightful additions...well done!

  • That a Taylor yea? Good version. Never a massive Fahey fan though.

  • Thanks for your support. Taylors are very smart n well made. Think I may keep it!!!!!

  • Sounds great. I've a Big Baby and I love the thing. I don't ever want to give it up. It just works so well for alot of stuff and sounds amazing recorded. Still I'm gonna get a 12-string and maybe another 6er.
