Brillaint stuff. I love O Lucky Man and if.... and Alan Price always was the real talent in the Animals. This soundtrack is one of my favorites, and I love your cover of this song. You've a beautiful voice, and it was a treat to hear.
you are very talented. Can you play o lucky man ? I tried it on guitar I think its in A or G ? Malc is my fave actor too if-clockwork. you have good taste.
I love this song. I remember watching the movie for the first time, the music didn't really hit me right at first. But later on it grew on me! Most people aren't familiar with the film, it's kind of niche in a weird way.
Is there any chance you could do the song "O Lucky Man" or "Poor People"?
Great taste in music, films and actors! I'm from the same town as Alan Price so it always makes me smile. My dad even went drinking with him once and reckons he was a right cheapskate - refusing to buy a pint all night, hehe.
I also met Malcolm once, and he's still very charming :) xoxo
I was talking about ukuleles with a friend the other night & he told me to check out this video. I'm glad he did - you're just as beautiful & talented as he said! I like your taste in music also.
Very nice. A truly great song. I think you sang it just a tad too fast - but well done. Great movie and in some versions it's omitted. You're also very pretty
Just noticed that my first comment, where that PS came from didn't go through. I don't remember what it was but it was something saying how beautiful this version came out.
Out of the blue, I had a hankering to listen to the theme song of "O Lucky Man" (where is it? -- it used to be on You Tube), and I found your rendition of one of my favorites posted only a week ago. The film, from nearly 40 years ago, is one of my all-time favorites and the soundtrack is beyond description. You do a wonderful, wonderful job!
This just made me smile...with pleasure. O Lucky Man is the second of Lindsay Anderson's trilogy of films. The original soundtrack is by Alan Price, and he and the band are intercut within the film but there are only a few snippets on Youtube. This is a worthy substitute - though I know that there are those who have something to say about Mr Price and his time with The Animals.
I added your clip to my Facebook...there are a number of musicians on it so I'll be interested in their reaction. We're also in to finding obscure British films on youtube - though Oh Lucky Man is hardly obscure.
Some of your favorite bands are also mine, The Kinks especially. The Who I have a jail photo of John Entwhistle which I had him sign before he died. Thrown in jail here in Houston, Texas for being drunk in 1974. You left one great band off though, The Bonzo Dog Dand. One of my favorites for 3 decades. Take care.
Great job, and taste. What fun!
