  • John, you just made me so hungry....i'm going roach hunting lol! Hope you are good and having the time of your life!! :O)

  • lol, andrew zimmern is amazing. I love that you used him in your title.

  • I'm not sure whether you're supposed to eat the whole thing. Many fried bugs are eaten after removing the legs, wings, etc.

  • well, what's done is done. i survived and no harmful effects befell me. it certainly did not hurt to eat the whole thing. 'just took a little while to chew the whole thing up.

  • I loved fried squid and octopus in Japan, the raw on the other hand...notsomuch. I can do sushi all day long but the texture of raw cuttlefish was odd. There's a specialty sushi there called "basashi" that's basically raw horse sushi. Never did get to try it.

    Ever had chicken hearts?

  • i love chicken hearts, but prefer them breaded and deep fried, with a little bit of ranch dressing to dip them in. raw? i don't do poultry raw, but i've had plenty of seafood raw. not that i was crazy about it. raw fish eggs, and fish meat is good as long as there is a sauce comprised of fish sauce, chili peppers, garlic, ginger and lime to go along with it. not too long after this vid was shot, i had squid on a stick. odd, but pretty good. it was grilled.

  • I think it's just the idea of eating a big bug is what puts people off. That's my problem with a lot of crustacean animals in the ocean...just resembles a giant bug.

  • the grasshoppers and crickets weren't too bad either. the silk and bamboo worms on the other hand, weren't all that great.
