  • Nothing hits garder than life :'(

  • Seriously???? Dan Wheldon is dead and you people are fighting cursing at each other here really??? That is so disrespectful. This video is not about you. You all need to grow up!!!

    R.I.P Dan Wheldon...

    You will be sorely missed...

  • @ppsh241 I know. His life went through his mind faster than the fence post that smashed his head in. So tragic. I hope someone posts pictures of the gory mess this accident left behind. I like to masturbate to pictures of dead bodies.

  • @rabbitsox I hope you die, I'm not exaggerating. If I heard of your death I'd be overjoyed.

  • It was a bad idea sir tony george put them in the calendar Veggera these cars were not prepared

thanks to the unfortunate fans lost one of the best we've seen FORCE FOR FANS OF DAN WHLEHDON RRI.P

  • Another thing: Ovals are more dangerous than street racing. But to race so many cars on such a short oval is pure madness and carnage is highly likely to happen. The officials should be hanged!!! But hell, no, they got the ratings even higher now...

  • @iwcham1979 what a ridiculous thing for you to say.............

  • You are right. The nature of oval racing makes things super risky. At least the drivers should be paid a lot more and teams given A LOT greater budgets. These guys deserve it!!!! Give them treatment and money the F1 provides.

  • This is a big warning for you guys. I am one of the few in Europe to watch and follow Indycar races. I regularly watch F1, and it is a lot more secure. It;s high time YOU did something to improve the cars, change the rules, CHANGE things. This had to happen, unfortunatelly. Lots of accidents when people got airborne went unpunished. But I am talking nonsense here, right? It's all about money....People are expendable!!!

  • @iwcham1979 - what might you suggest? If they make the racing 100% road and street courses you have F1 or GP2 with less politics and passing.

In terms of race safety, track safety and safety inovations, these all came from CART, IRL and NASCAR. The HANS device, SAFER barriers, roof flaps, safety and medical team that travels with the series etc.

Why are no safer barriers installed at F1 tracks instead of the tire barriers? The tire barriers have caused a lot of injuries over the years.

  • we miss you Dan Wheldon

  • really sad to lose Dan. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife, children, siblings, parents and many friends. May God and Jesus shine brightly for Dan, his family and friends.

    God bless you Dan.

    Stan Hearne

  • I hate these tragic stories of people on the top of their careers and living a great life dying so suddenly. That saying to live every moment in your life like it's your last really hits home. RIP Dan Wheldon

  • im feel bad for all the drivers: Danica Patrick, Alex Tagliani, Tony Kanaan, Dario Franchitti and all the drivers! Dan Wheldon will be missed! Dan Wheldon: 1978 - 2011

  • I hope there's racetracks in heaven, 'cause Dan, you'll be winning every one.

  • it is soo sad how the drivers act on dan wheldon death :(

  • Dan makes me so proud to be British! i love u my friend! i'll miss you!!! RIP

  • The last thing that went through Dan Wheldon's mind was a fence post. So tragic.

  • @rabbitsox

that is a popular rumor but if you look at one of the angles in slow motion it was another car that hit him in the head. the catch fence was in tact. But anway, R.I.P Dan Wheldon:(

  • @rabbitsox Your a f**king dickhead. F**k you. You better sort your shit out or the last thing going through your mind will be a fencepost. Pay Some Respect you F**k. R.I.P Dan.

  • @RustyStallioNZ When I read your response I hear that "wohwohwoh" sound that adults would make when speaking in the Charlie Brown cartoons.

  • I have no intention of making a joke about this, but out of all the places and times, why did it have to be on the 13th lap in Las Vegas?

But then again, I'm constantly reminded of the fact that this sport can be as dangerous as a tightrope act without a net. Or if there is one, the material that's normally there is replaced by razor wire. This sport lost a great athlete on that day. My thoughts and prayers out out to his family and friends.

  • @xxxsukit dude your commenting shit on every fucking videos concerning this crash. go back to sleep little fucker

  • Some people need to get a clue. How safe do you think 200mph racing can be?Crap like this will happen and the fact it doesn't happen more often speaks volumes for safety.Where can you wreck that many cars at 200mph and only have 1 death?

  • they should ban this sport

  • Dan was my girlfriends dad's bestfriend. R.I.P. man. you'll be missed. thoughts and prayers to the Wheldon family.

  • RIP Dan Wheldon.....if anyone knew him then I hope you'll find comfort in knowing his death would have been quick and he went doing what he liked best. Gosh it must be so painful for his close family and friends....my sincere condolences.

  • It was really sad watching Alex Tagliani's interview.

  • My moms ex works for indy car with the mcdonalds team with Rahal. And they always say, die doing what you love. and thats exactly what he did. R.I.P. Dan. <3

  • @xMeerkats what da eff you doin here, fag!? ;D

  • @D3adlyGodz lmao, u heard bout dis to. <3

  • and people think Oval racing like NASCAR and IndyCar is easy......i say FUCK YOU! racing close quarter like this takes skill and concentration! Respect these people!!

  • @DavidMason093 no one ever said it was easy. its just fucking boring to watch... golf and curling isn't easy either. but it's fucking boring to watch as well. doesn't mean I don't have respect for IndyCar drivers, golfers or curlers.

  • @Ichigekikai At least that "stupid bitch" did something with her life unlike you. She is obviously good enough to be a pro.

  • Q.E.P.D Dan Wheldon desde Venezuela :-(

  • R.I.P Dan Wheldon, from Canada.

  • Final Destination ....... 5

Sorry about that I'm kidding R.I.P.

  • Don't bother responding to trolls... they only want to get that exact reaction.

  • My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Bless his heart.

  • RIP Dan a brilliant driver who has been took from us too early.

  • I'm totally shocked by people saying they are shocked someone died driving bumper to bumper at 220mph in a plastic car daily for a living... They get paid quite well to risk death for the crowds amusement. I wonder how many idiots said they were shocked leaving the roman colosseums after seeing the christians disemboweled by lions? "Wow Clamidicus, I'm so shocked those 9 christians and the sickly jew all died at the games today. They should give them thicker leather groin cloths!" Duh!

  • @TheNWONOW I think we just get used to seeing horrific accidents where the driver always just seems to come out with a smile on their face. Remember Katherine Legg at Road America a few years ago?

We get to the point where we regard a bad accident as nothing more than something cool to watch and an expensive day for the teams involved. It just becomes part of the show.

The reality of it bit us all in the ass last weekend.

  • @TheNWONOW they dont get paid to risk death you complete and utter twat. They get paid to race wheel to wheel. Not to die. Fuck me, theyre plenty of spastics on the internet but people like you, are one of the biggest.

  • R.I.P. Dan, You'll be missed P.S. - Say hello to Senna for me.

  • viva para sempre em nossa memoria dan aqui do brasil

  • RIP Dan Wheldon

  • And people say F1 is the more dangerous than Indy, I really don't think so, both are but in my opinion Indy is more dangerous due to most high speeding tracks compared to F1. Face it, from start to finish in Indy it's on high speed and from start to finish in F1 it varies alot depending on the tracks length and corners. RIP to Dan, I just stunned when I heard the news.

  • I got the chills when Danica was crying RIP Dan Wheldon

  • @FREAKNIZZLE100 same dude, same

  • @FREAKNIZZLE100 WHy the hell would you and that other guy say that to this video. U 2 are as*holes. This video is for those who are mourning his death and u homos get on here and say that when u got indy drivers crying their eyes out. Shocking people can act like u 2.

  • So Sad.

  • After viewing this, having seen every other video related to this and having heard the announcement live when it happened, I've already spent my emotion on this in various comments. My first thought here is that I'd bet money there will be a tribute lap at Indy 2012. I bet it will be the 77th lap. It would be fitting as that is the number he'll be remembered as now - though didn't he use something else at Indy 2011?

  • @CycloneGU You're correct. He used the number 98 (Curb racing cars always used that number) at Indy this past year.

It'll be gut wrenching when I get my tickets for next years 500, only to see him on it....happy and full of life for completing his dream of winning the big race (Again).

  • Its hard to belive that drivers push them self to the limit at 223 mph in to the corners not only to bet their opponets not to win a race but to win $5millon dollers...one worng move and u can lose more then just a race..they know the risk when thay sign up for this and no one can garrinte that u can servive a crash expiceally this horrific crash my prayers go out to wheldon's family RIP Dan.

  • All of the interviews were heartfelt and genuine, but Dario Franchitti's words were the realest in my opinion. People take this shit so seriously but when tragedy strikes everything gets put in perspective. R.I.P. Dan.

  • To bad the indy car racing had to learn a lesson about there tracks the hard way

  • I watched a YT video this time last week of Dan playfully teasing Danica Patrick years ago. I'll never forget him emotionally celebrating with his family at Indy back in May (at the expense of poor J. R. Hildebrand's embarassment). Happy memories... :-)

  • @AIRBUSMAN1978 WHAT`S GOING ON WITH YOU MAN...!!!

In every single video about this tragedy, you`re insulting Danica... I think you`re kinda weird.... Please respect!

    Dan.. i will miss you...

  • Just awful... Feel for his family.

  • It was really sad, but i had to smile when he said "He was my brudder from anudder mudder."

  • R.I.P. He was my favorite indy car driver. sad day in motorsports to lose a champion like him. but as a also driver we all knw2 the risk. We know we can loose everything in one turn. but we cant think about it or we will be scared to go out there and give a 100. just sad to see another champion go.

  • Two people are heartless

  • my dad actually had a friend named greg moore who died in a car crash

  • Dan is drinking milk in heaven now. Chug bro, chug it. R.I.P

  • to the end of time......DAN WHELDON you will be miss...hugs and kissis to to you and the family

  • Unsafe sport, boring sport, waste of gas and money. End it.

  • @bubsadoozy THIS! FUCKING THIS!

god this sport is boring if anything this death made it interesting.

  • @xxxsukit lol, I completely agree.

  • @xxxsukit Unfortunately I think that's why people even go to these silly events. Drink Beer, have a hotdog or two and hope you see sparks and cars fly. It's ridiculous. Driving is a form of transportation. NOTHING MORE.

  • @bubsadoozy really? you're pretty small minded i see.

  • @TopRamenKickAss Small minded would be accusing someone of being small minded and offering no reasons to why you made the claim. Also not capitalizing the beginnings of your sentences. Thanks for coming out.

  • @xxxsukit if all your interested in is death then go over to Irag and Iran and Afghanistan for your deaths this is not something you ever want to see happen

  • @LiveFreeOrDieHrad why dont u? go buy a ticket and head over there right now

  • @xxxsukit i never said i was just interested in death i like the racing you dont want anyone to die because its bad how bout you just go and roll over and die?

  • @LiveFreeOrDieHrad u like racing? yeah ur a redneck

fucking loser go have sex with ur cousin i hear thats what u rednecks like to do

  • they were just glad it wasn't them. lol

  • @catstalker1 Yeah. l-o-fucking-l.

  • a true champion of motorsport. R.I.P. DAN. he Died doing what he loved. BUT SAFETY IN INDYCAR OVAL TRACKS SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO! its sad that it takes the loss of a life to get track owners to put there hands in there pocets to make tracks safer for drivers.

  • who ever disliked this should be shot

  • Man, Danica's interview just tears your heart out.

  • @Cuda123087 It's OK to cry in front of the cameras...My grandma use to tell me before passing away in January, that if I want to cry, there's nothing wrong with that!

    RIP Grandma and Dan Wheldon!!!

  • I'm really sorry to say this but this sport is unsafe as hell especially at those speeds and in those cars. They should take a real look and see what can be done

  • @steven288 #10? after watching this,he should be #1. he'll always be in our hearts.we miss you dan

  • he always be #10 to me.... i think race cars need to become like power boats... open wheels ok, but closed safety cells for the drivers; 225mph is just too fast for anyone to react

  • I am one tough guy to make cry. Like the ABC crew said about Tony "Tough as nails" and when I heard about Dan's passing I cried myself my own ocean. He will be missed.

    R.I.P. Dan Wheldon

  • He will never be forgotten. Now he is on Gods team winning the Indy 500 everyday

  • @stewartfan128 lol why dont you go and join him u faggot

  • @xxxsukit what do u mean

  • @stewartfan128 kill yourself.

    thats what i mean.

  • seeing Dairo in the cockpit really tears me up man, what a stand up guy

  • Awww crap. I feel bad cause i just got rid of the my shirt of him winning the indycar 500. I still hope they make more safty adjusments like with senna

  • RIP Dan Wheldon, God must have the best race team ever. Jim Clark, Ayrton Senna, Greg Moore, Dale Earnhardt and now Dan Wheldon.

I'll always remember that "Actually won the Indy 500" shirt from Texas 2005

  • @jamie24cfc I've always wanted to buy that shirt actually

  • simply sad....my thoughts go out to his family. god bless

  • R.I.P :(

  • Dario couldn't have said it better. It's what drives us, but then someone like this happens.. And it doesn't matter.

  • I remind myself the famous feud between Dan and Danica,,, Good to see they're all human when they should.

  • This really got to me! RIP dan

  • @DavidMason093 Same here i still cant believ it! RIP Dan

  • Dan Wheldon died while doing what he loved... RIP Dan Wheldon...

  • rip dan wheldon, too young to die, but still a champion in our hearts

  • R.I.P Dan

  • So sad. What a pitty. We will miss you, Dan.

  • I just pray now that indy car will take a closer look at the safety of these car's and the track's they race on

  • @snowddoogg its not the track this could of happend at any track they ran them at charlotte motor speedway in 99 and they were running almost 240 and they crashed but no drivers died parts went flying into the stands and killed 3 fans

  • @bigboy14100 I said track's not just this track, it seem's to me indy car has been ignoring their driver's safety concern this past year look what hapened at new hampshire indy car said go ahead while the driver were beging for them not to let them go, then they come to las vegs and the concerns rise again but it seem's like they were ignored and thus we lost a great man

  • @snowddoogg the main disadvantage is their heads arent well protected unlike nascars which have a roof

  • @snowddoogg thats the problem with these cars compared to nascar. indy cars are so much lighter and aerodynamically built different. its so easy for these cars to flip like that... RIP Dan.

  • @snowddoogg maybe you arent a big race fan, but if you are, you should know that those cars are very very safe. fiberglass body made to break apart to absorb impact and a reinforced cockpit made to stay intact to protect the driver. and the tracks now have the safety barriers which absorb a lot of the impact. if you find a car that can survive hitting a steel cage at 200 mph, you deserve an award. if he were to hit the wall, he probably would have survived. love you Dan, RIP champ

  • @IAmPeaceLoveMusic well i am a big race fans and i know that the safety of these cars have improve but that still leave the driver's heads which only protected by a helmet exposed and in all honesty i personly feel that indy car needs to do more in their saftey program.

  • @snowddoogg Look up their car for next year, Dan helped design it. It is much safer.

  • @snowddoogg Its open cockpit racing you can't change that or it wont be indy car R.I.P. Dan Weldon you will be missed forever

  • @snowddoogg "now"... how many lives shall be taken before they think about safety... Im as mad as sad. RIP Dan.

  • @snowddoogg And do what? They already spend extremely large amounts of money of safety, half the talk was of the new, safer walls. But I guess since random flukes happen extremely rarely, an amazing statistic for 200mph racing, we should be going 7 mph in full plate armor with floaties on our arms in electric powered styrofoam balls.

These drivers know the risks, and the risks are extremely unlikely, stop trying to act like it's some Indy officials fault that he hit at the wrong angle.

  • Tony Kanaan and Dan Wheldon #1!!!
