Promag is an evil company, every single Promag magazine I've ever tried has done nothing but jam! I guess they stay in business because their stuff is low cost and it looks nice, and most people end up finding out the hard way that it's total crap.

Im recently just bought a Sgl-21 and about to buy couple of mags and on Aim Surplus they have NEW Bulgarian steel mags for $8.95 and Surplus European steel mags that have minor wear for $9.95. Which mags would you recommend? or do you know another site that you recommend I look at? Thanks for your help

New to the AK so this was a very helpful video. I also have seen good things about the Chicom mags so I will try them as well. The gun shows seem to have dried up on AKs and related items.

What is the best mag for an AK with a wobble problem even when I used the polymer magazines? I just got a Vepr in 7.62 x 39 and it is rock solid, but the wobble is still annoying.

I have 3 of those OD green circle 10 mags. They seem very well made, but I can't say I've broke them in yet. They match the OD green on my SGL21, so that makes it look awesome. If I could afford it, I'd buy 10 more.

How about Yugo AK mags? I'm thinking about buying either those or the new TAPCOs.

Go with the Yugos, 1st they are steel and that makes them tough as nails ,2nd the yugo mags will hold the bolt open after the last round is fired. Thats a cool thing about the yugos! As for the Tapco they are lighter but thats about it. Just not AS good. Stay safe.
