The optimistic vision in Sims Social, where EVERYONE is a work-from-home-freelancer, getting paid right from their first efforts is somehow soothing, while at the same time, completely ridiculous, and the opposite of a real world model of freelancing.
But my general rule of game design is... is something errs in favor of the player, and it works, they'll accept it and enjoy. If the game errs against the favor of the player, it will repel and discourage them. so here it works! :)
I find the Sims Social world somehow inspiring and ideologically optimistic that you can earn money while "learning to play the guitar", or "writing articles on your computer".
The life of a musician, in REALITY, is mostly one of SPENDING money on equipment, transport, accommodation, studio and rehearsal time, and is basically an endless money pit, that for most, will never see a return on money.
Keeping up the Simlish was impressive. How many takes was it in all? I imagine it was a lot, considering how many lines you guys must have sputtered or laughed on...
It's funny because it's the sad truth.

Hahaha. Funny. Well done. Particularly like the spookier section throughout the first half.
