thats a nice system you got there, you sould have been making the tube from the res a little shorter but anyway, well done anyone who have water cooling sould get some credits :)
you mounted the swiftech waterblock wrong i know it sounds weird since you can read the text but the text should acculy be parrel to the cpu locking pin you should try change it it dropped my temps a few degress
love your computer dude btw, i just built my first computer also and could u tell me what that fan controller is... i wanna get one... and does it tell u the internal temps, like the cpu etc....
Did I see a triple radiator there? That's awesome. I agree that 38C is a still a little high for your setup, even under load. I'm running a dual radiator swiftech kit, but on a C2Q q9450, 1.35v. (I've also got the MCW30 chipset connected, but I'm told that wouldn't affect the circuit temp more than a degree).Anyway, with that setup I only reach peak temps of around 32 under prime95 load. I found it helpful to use much less thermal paste than the manual recommended when remounting the blocks.
I have never done this and want to, i plan on getting this same cooling kit, How do you mount the radiator on the back? I was going to get the Haf 932 also, if I buy this Asetek kit and the HAf 932 is that All i need to mount it like you did?
HAHAH your explaining what all the little things on the front are and your like "thats a little sticker" LMAO I think we all what a sticker is, nice setup 5/5
Ok i got an good guestion for all you guys. Why does he have his pump going to his rad first then his rad going to his cpu then its pumping all the hot water tho his hole system into his resvor back thro the pump. It will never cool down that way.
what you re saying makes no sense it still has to go through the rad before it gets to the cpu that is how mine is set up hot water off cpu gets pulled through the pump into the rad then the cool water goes back in to the cpu
@colinstienke thats not a good question, so long as the water goes through the radiator before the cpu it will cool the cpu. as for the hot liquid in the case, its in an acrylic reservoir and PVC tubing which are both insulators, so its not going to be a problem.
@G4LBlackHawk: nice system man, i think you did well
the reason I could think of going from the pump through the rad is because the pump will generate heat itself which will be added to the coolant temp. Sending it from there to the rad gives it a chance to get rid of that residual pump heat before sending the coolant to the CPU block.
did u ever get ur temps fixed yet?? if not. I was looking at it. Some of the tubes are too long, try to make it as short as possible. Scratch that stock compound, n get something like at least arctic silver 5. if u want, there's a new waterblock that beats ur GTZ. It's called Heatkiller 3.0 (1366 bracket included) pick the copper version, it cost around 89dlr..
how did you install the nzxt sentry lx fan controller in the antec 1200? doesnt the lx only support 3 pin fan connectors, and the antec 1200 only has 4 pin molex?
nice comp its probly running in a windows in dx10 due to the 8800gtx i had that problem with the 8800 with dx10 i fixd it with driver updates hope that helpd you owt
Your core i7 is in the 20's C?...in a class of mine we got to build a liquid cooled core i7 computer with a swiftech something(2 120mm fans) maybe the same one you have and the asus p6t deluxe(v1)'s software says its like 41C
Lol overclocking doesnt void your warranty how can they tell you've been overclocking. Fact is they make CPUS to be overclocked otherwise you wouldnt see the options to do it. Secondly Cod 4? just becuase you run a game that isnt graphically demanding which it isnt.. compared it to a game like crysis/DoWII/FEAR2. on standard clocked CPU to an overclocked CPU you'll see a big increase in performance. well i know it was out for some time now, but i don't have the cash. i have to wait till my tax refund money comes in, witch is going to be around next week. im planing of making a installation video for that think.

is the tubing goin straight to the cpu block from the pump then to the radiator then back to the resevoir then pump ? if it isnt that may be why the temps are high because you not going to the cpu first your losing your pressure and the radiator not disapating the heat because it doesant come right after cpu block.
I think the purpose of the water cooling is better cooling for load temps and overclock temps, not neccessarily idle temps. I dont have the temp problem anymore.
the bios needed to be updated.
after the update my temps read 34no use and 53 on load. so really i dont have a temp problem, but thanks guys.
my cpu has been at 4ghz for a about 6 months now and i haven't seen on problem with my cpu

yout would get much better teps with an MCR320 rad.

Thats a nice rig.
I also got a watercooled i7 920 setup, mine is running 4.1GHz on an Asus p6t Deluxe v2 with 3x2GB OCZ Platinum XTC Cas7 ram.
I was going to get the Antec 1200 but when I saw the next chassis from Corsair (obsidian 800d) I fell in love!
What are your temperatures like at idle and full load @ 4GHz? And which radiator are you using?
Cheers
ItsjustagameNUB 2 years ago
32c no load and 52 tops on FULL load.
Since the only way I can get my CPU at 100% is by prime95 and no other way the temps are superb.
G4LBlackHawk 2 years ago
Im seriously having my misbelives on that.
Im using a triple rad with 3x Noctua p12's and im hitting 70c in load at 4,1GHz.
If your sensors really tell you that your i7 920 is 52c full load (prime95 8 thread torture test), I think your sensors are malfunctioning.
And again, which radiator are you using?
ItsjustagameNUB 2 years ago
how much did it cost to build that?

why would you want to over clock an i7 -_-
weetsie 3 years ago
y wouldn't u want to oc a i7?
i oced my i7 to 4ghz
G4LBlackHawk 3 years ago
because
1, games don't need it
2, you wont see any visible performance increase
3, it voids your warranty
weetsie 3 years ago
1 lol
2 lol
3 ok well from what i heard the i7 warranty can be broken by only u doing and phx damn to it like... banding the pins.
the bigger your clock is the cooler u are ;)
if u every used 3DMark ocing is the only way for u to get a nice store. like 39000..
G4LBlackHawk 3 years ago
so your 3d mark score is nearly 4 times what mine is, but that dont help you in cod4 :\

G4LBlackHawk 3 years ago
You do see performances increases with overclocking the CPU.
Why do you think the majority of hardcore gamers overclock their CPU's to as far as they can get them within safe margins?
Check over at the slizone forums and you'll see what I mean.
Also if you overclock your CPU you reduce the risk of bottlenecking your graphics cards.
These i7's are overclocking monsters it has to be said.
For overclocking I like the new AMD phenom II's aswell.
This rig is looking fantastic blackhawk.
