  • Kentucky rated #1 WORST state for littering and poor public spaces cleanliness in 2011 American State Littter Scorecard.

KY has very high rate of Public Servant Corruption Convictions for any U.S. state.

  • If this comes to CA and can be done, I'm in. CA really needs a kick in the ass when it comes to gun laws. Go go CA assembly bill 357!

  • I probably shouldn't have used hope after Obama destroyed the word.

  • Schiff is talking about how he not gonna run for senate but we can always hope.

  • test

  • 'Open Carry' has always been the law here in Kentucky. You do not need a concealed carry permit or a firearms training cert. to carry openly.....for now.

    God help us.

  • It's nice that the Free State Project has so many people trying to be like it. There are "Free County Projects" and many other things like this. I see a heck of a lot more getting done in the Free State Project than anywhere else though. ;) Yay us!

  • Good for Kentucky! The more people become desensitized to people open-carrying, the better it is for the 2nd Amendment.

  • Thought about doing this in my state but the only reference we have to it is a 1985 attorney general's opinion that it is legal to open carry on a person that is walking down the road. However, it is not legal in a vehicle except with a CCW permit.

I would love to try it though if I get up enough guts.

  • I wish someone could explain the logic in that to me. I see none.

  • About it being ok to open carry while walking without a permit, but not being ok while in a car? Yeah, ain't got a clue. I got a CCW, but it is still stupid.

  • I haven't got one clue how it is that way. All I can guess is that it's about "control". Only control. What else can it even possibly be? I'm clueless as to what it may even be. It makes no freakin' sense whatsoever.

  • Josiah531 .. its perfectly legal in the state of kentucky to have a gun in your car, it just has to be in the open (i.e. on the dash) or as per KRS 527.020 it can be in your glove compartment, you only have to have a CCDW permit if you intend on concealing on you

  • i actually envy the states that can open carry haha because here in indiana its conceal only, id rather open carry

  • You must be in Alabama. I have OC'd many times in Alabama, but only in rural areas. Everybody looks, but most don't comment and the few who do comment favorably.

  • Actually, I think open carry in Kentucky is protected.

  • It is but the point is to exercise your rights otherwise you'll forget why you have them. Rights are not a privledge, they're a duty.

  • Good way to look at it.
