The truth is that everyone LOVED firefighters after 9/11... for about a year. Then, people forgot us. We are only loved when we are needed, but otherwise? We make people feel bad. How does "getting money" compare to saving lives? But we do our jobs anyways, because its the right and good thing to do.

Marines go out and deal with ieds and ambushes by machine guns mortars rockets and aks when they go out, while firefighters do different things. Bu they are both brave humble servants to the people who not all are appreciative and should be.

It Hasnt, thats just the Ladder truck that was on scene before 62 truck arrived on scene so it was already Positioned closer to the Building If needed. as which it was. But when ya got a city working a fire such as FDNY you have multiple Engine Companys and Truck companys coming to the Fire. and most crews will go to work and sometimes you have to use other trucks to get the job done.
