  • @Rbigray1 it's hamburger from Kizilkayalar shop. the meat is with garlic tomatoe sauce in a toasted soft hot bread.

  • thank you so much for posting this, mesko!

  • I recently went to Istanbul, and made it my goal to find Durumzade... This tiny restaurant had the BEST Adana Kabob!! Highly recommended...

The place is located in the old Fish Market (Balık Pazarı) of Istikal avenue.

  • i want that FOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!

  • Joe Francis after a week in prison. LOL! So funny. Bourdain is truly the coolest man on the planet!

  • @jafrocubic2, I do not get the reference, can you please explain?

  • @TheMasterSlasher Sure. Joe Francis is the raving, frat boy asshole that I remember polluting the tv's airwaves with his Girls Gone Wild video line advertisements. People like him make up a large part of one of the reasons I left the states, don't miss it, and plan to never live there again. I, much the same as Mr. Bourdaine, would truly like to believe that the runny meatwich that Turkish gentleman was serving would be exactly what Joe Francis would look like after a week in the big house.

  • @jafrocubic2, haha, I get it now. Thank you for taking the time to answer.

  • "meat in hand"

  • This is not the best show to watch when you're poor and all you've got is peanut butter and bread to eat lol

  • I hate my Turkish teacher, but I sure love her cooking!

  • I go know and buy me some lahmacun

  • yes absolutely delicious and... halal :-) I really love Turkish food..

  • cok guzel bu yaaa turkiye cok seviyorum : ))))

  • use syringe gloves u unsanitary fuk mexicans

  • Is this guy really making Mexican comments on a video featuring Istanbul, a city in the Middle East that's NOT EVEN WITHIN REACH OF MEXICO?! Hell, geographically speaking, they can be considered to be Asian!

  • @SirNoobs As you have discovered, most racists are very ignorant. Anyone with a decent amount of knowledge about ANY cultural group knows that to characterize the whole group based on the actions a few is foolish. To this inbred douchebag, anyone with even vaguely brown skin is a "Mexican", how do you argue against ignorance like that? (P.S. I know some Mexicans, they are fine people and make yummy food, but that's just the small group I know, and says nothing about the country as a whole)

  • @ 6:35 thats a copy of asians spring rolls ETC.. damn mexican copycats!!!!!!!!!!

  • y dont mexicants never use plastic gloves when preparing food.. soo unsainatary..no wonder they r so soo dirty

  • @Ethix127 As a chef, I will have you know that no good chef uses gloves unless it's an open kitchen or to keep their hands from smelling/staining of whatever they're dealing with. Touching food with clean hands is the best way to get a feel of what you're doing, and better for you than touching with plastic.

  • watch out for crazy eyes!

  • Comment removed

  • Respond to this video... haha. which one is crazy eyes?

  • Damm i hate this show sooo much everytime i watch this i just craving the food and start starving even though i am eating rite now

  • Notice how much meat they eat and still you don't see the obese American like figure dominating the streets.

  • i wish i can find something like this in the usa..

land of melting pot and no place to find these different food.

  • "really classic stoner food"....lol this guy is the best

  • "that's classic stoner food man"

Hahah now I feel like smoking a joint ... and eating lahmacun my mother made (the best in whole Europe and possibly Turkey ...)

Turks are Meataterians, vegaterians should go to jail

  • lamb in America does not taste good, for good lamb u need to go to Iran, Turkey, China,...

  • @sara46762 New Zealand.

  • @sara46762 sigh americans will foods they dislike look and taste worst. i.e. veggies

  • 4:29 My favourite thing ever! it'd be my last meal if I were ever to be hung.

  • thank God... Anthony has nothing in common with the typical American middle class. I'm so glad that some stupid middle-class white zombie didn't ruin this show completely. Rock on, Tony!

  • I wanna make lahmajun, but the spice they use there is unheard of in Mexico, does anyone know any alternative?.

  • @ArchArturo U can't find the same taste bro, sorry.

  • @ArchArturo you can buy it online at tulumba.com and they will send it to Mexico.. Just type sumac in the search box

  • @ArchArturo Thank you for spelling that out for me! I've been trying to figure out how to spell that forever to see how to make it lmao, gracia. =3

  • @ArchArturo You don't use sumac in lahmacun. That guy isn't even Turkish, spices on the table are optional, as a matter of fact I never had lahmacun with sumac. Cheers.

  • @salvodaze pretty much every salad compliment to lahmacun comes with onions sprinkled with sumak. cheerz.

  • Amına koduğumun mal dönercisi, herifi rahat bırak da dönerini yesin. Yok hacı, bizde bu zihniyet oldukça, turizm murizm traştır.

  • Its seems like thats a commom complaint around the world that people dont sit together as a family & eat & conversate. Everyone wants to eat & go.

  • 7,57 deki sarkiyi bilen varmi???

  • dude @ 1:40 IS FUNNY

popping in and do some advertising =)

  • classic stoner food

  • just like in america, well in the middle of no where, where im from, we always gatta have milk with pizza. lol

  • instanbul has some seriously tasty street food. a vegetarian wouldn't stand a chance.

  • I agree with the "Historic Chef" in this episode; I hate how nowadays we do everything faster but our time becomes shorter and shorter. What happened to the good old days when you and your pals would head out to eat and sit there for two to three hours instead of 15 minutes? Food and life can't be enjoyed that way!

  • Yummy kabobs!!

  • whats the name of the song at 7:57?

  • i can suggest to you turkish&canadian artist "mercan dede" for this kind musics.

  • anthony adanayı beğenmeseydi kafamı kesicektim zaten. (=

  • @diablotestdriver durumzade de birsey begenmeyen carpilir zaten :)
