you would swear bass and walleye are gods in ohio.

"sad" thing is i have family in sandusky/freemont so i have seen it first hand. the sandusky river is filled with fishermen. you can't go 15 feet without seeing another person. it is a surreal scene when you drive over the bridge in freemont during walleye season.

i live outside of dayton and i often see shops offering/planning trips for sandusky.

fishing is good up there, i have caught all kinds of stuff up there.

I use to go there in the 70s, but no boat and that may be why I never even got a bite.

I'm talking early morning too.

Same with Wellington reservoir and Oberlin's.

Hey im a decent fisherman .. but i just dont have the greatest lures ive got a popper, some crankbaits and a few rattlers and som sinkers.. which would u reccomend usin this summer? Btw ive got an artificial pond tht gave me 6lb catfish so u gotta imagine theres some big bass out there just need some help on the lures shads jigs whatever..

It's a Lowe. It's an excellent boat, very practical, very affordable, gets into tight spots and has a small motor for limited horsepower lakes.

Joe, judging from the green grass but very little foilage on the trees, was this in the April timeframe? If so, you were doing just what you need to do, hop a soft plastic up tight to the bank. Unfortunately, the normal bank fisherman can't access a shoreline like you were fishing and would mostly get hung up if they did. Ever throw a spinnerbait in that stained water early in the year?
