  • Awesome mate, just awesome. Brings a tear to my eye. I know everybody hates on the Speccy version of this game but I actuall loved it! In retrospect it is dissmal but hell, I can close my eyes whilst listening to this tune and im whisked away back to 1989, im in my bedroom, playing on my trusty +2 on my black and white telly. Sorted mate!

  • @RibNSpicY I had fun with this game back in the day but nowadays I can't play it as I'm left disgusted at a wasted license and a sorry excuse of a racing game, especially having played so many more great racing games since. The music though is fantastic.

  • This isn't too bad but not as good as Magical Sound Shower.

  • @Rals80 Yeah this is good but the other one is much better.

  • I have a spectrum +3 and I have to say, this is not the best port of this game

  • @figaro589 Nope I totally agree with you there. It was really slow which lacked any proper feel that a racing game should have. Its absolutely insane and pathetic to say that games like Chevy Chase and Turbo Esprit are better than Out Run but unfortunatley on the Speccy that was most certainly the case. This was simply nothing more than another US Gold screw-up.

  • @Otouto72

I'm glad I grew up with the mega drive version :)

  • @figaro589 Yeah that's a great version of Out Run, I'd love to buy that soon.

  • @Otouto72

yeah, I know, it's the closest port to the arcade version. if you're interested in Mega Drive games, I made a video response to a youtube competition to the L1 Games channel by showing my Mega Drive games. OutRun is in there :)

  • @figaro589 How can I not be interested in Mega Drive games, I've got one =) I have no knowledge in this competiton nor have any interest in it but I'll be sure to check it out when I can. You are right, the Mega Drive version is the closest to the arcade version.

  • wat a tune , it needs hypeing i might just try something wid this

  • @XBASS247 It's not bad at all, shame this kinda sucked on the Speccy though. Do what you want with it, its not my work anyway, I only uploaded it as part of sharing a passion for video game music so do as you please.

  • @xJORDAN99x I love Passing Breeze but maybe a lack of memory was responsible for its absence. Shame.

  • I had this game on ATARI...and THIS is the original version of the Soundtrack

    "Splash Wave"

    Pretty cool..good old times ^^

  • @Robyversal The music on this version is not too bad but this version was pretty poor to be honest. I am sure the Atari version plays a lot better.

  • wtf is this shit

  • @lookaguru It's supposed to be the ZX Spectrum version of Splash Wave from OutRun but lets be honest it's not too good is it? The game sucked on the Spectrum!

  • Haha this must have been the 128k music, i remember it had no music on the 48k version but it came with a audio tape of the arcade music you could play as you played the game also i remember with the 128k version once a level was loaded it stayed loaded unlike the 48k version where u had to find the previous track on the tape by blind luck and re load it

  • best version of out run from all the computer versions

  • @rainxxxx You're right about that! Shame the game kinda sucked...okay I'm harsh it wasn't that bad but nowhere near what we expected. Yet again US Gold came off short of expectations.

  • @Colonelbasic Actually I believe there is 48K music, at least for Magical Sound Shower there is anyway, and it's horrible. I think it only plays at the title screen and not during the game (thank god!) Don't think this song saw a 48K version.

  • @Otouto72 yes, only on the title screen did you get the music, ingame was just the engine noise, still a brilliant conversion with the best grafix

  • @Colonelbasic correct I had the audio tape with the 48k which was a great rendition of the arcade music.

  • Brings back fond memories! Thanks

  • No problem!
