  • I prefer the D Pad function. For some reason, I feel that the stick function lags a tiny amount. For example, when in stick mode, I feel when cycling around character select or selecting a level, the cursor moves a split second after I toggle the stick to the location. When in D pad mode, I feel its much more responsive, and less of a chance to get input shortcuts when rolling the stick.

Thanks for watching, hope this helps.

  • hi do you prefer the d-pad function or the analog function?

  • is there a difference between the regular street fighter and the super street fighter fightstick? i heard the super can work on computer the the regular cant. is their any other difference?

  • Nice shades!

  • much better than fight pad?and something else....for mortal kombat can it use?

  • "Guile's ultra is possible. It is. He is a playable character." That made my day XD

  • I found one for 200$. and i plan on using it for mvc3. should i get it?!

  • @sintonado u can get them for cheaper, and they work marvelous on mvc3. also, i replied to this wayyy to late.. -.-

  • Upper cut into ultra lol you mean FADC into ultra x)

  • Would anyone know if this fightstick would be compatible with maverl vs capcom 3?

  • @kphooni

yes it can work with any fighter that supports fightsticks ssf4, tekken6,mvc3 etc.

  • @kphooni Yea lmfao any stick that is compatible with your system, it should work perfectly, im thinking about getting this stick, cuz i like Ocular sticks better then square

  • Dude, I like the review and all, but whats up with all that your wearing. lol Really good review though. Thanks. You answered all the other questions that no one else answered.

  • The TE stick made for PS3 should work on your 'slim', it is just a USB plug-in.

  • will this stick work with ps3 slim and ssf4....m a newbie :)

  • should make a video on how to do ryus metsu hadoken on sqaure gate stick cus im new at this and stuck haha

  • y the fuck are you were ing that stuff

  • over dramatic review is overdramatic

  • hahaha wow.. this is one of the coolest intros I've seen on youtube... long live whoever this dude is!

  • hey the poster that guy sent you in the unboxing sf4 se stick, u put it up lol.

  • This review had me laughing throughout actually, some of the dramatic scenes were fantastic.

  • so dramatic lol

  • plz make more videos. not about this stick. I mean i like the way u show things.

  • ill stick to my keyboard

  • LOL sounds like the new new

  • I just got me the SSF4 TE stick =). It's my first and only arcade stick and I love it. I had used my 360 controller for the longest (it's worn out now) I still kicked alot of butt in G1 but I always made 100s of mistakes.

  • LOL @ "....sounds like the new-new, alright, the new-new....."

  • Le meilleur joueur français sur Street 4 joue au pad. Cependant quand on a l habitude de jouer au stick on ne peut pas revenir au pad.

  • why does he "upper cut cancel" like its something hard? I do that on the xbox 360 controller, just takes practice.

  • i've never been that good on the arcade but i like to consider myself fairly decent on the ps3 controller but i have a hard time nailing big combos. will an arcade stick really make a difference?

  • Trust me, it will make ALL the difference. You will never ever try a normal controler again for a fight game. Buy the one described here, it is the best. Buttons can be cleaned or replaced easily.

  • yah sorta.... a controllers nice but if u got a fight stick it feels weird at 1st... but after u get adjusted ull be murdering people.......

  • does this work with tekken 6, Marvel vs Capcom 2 etc?

  • It works with every game. What might differ is your opinion on what stick type you want for the different games.

  • is this one like an arcade style?

  • all fighting games dude

  • Is the arcade stick wireless?

  • no, there's a compartment to insert the cable into for transport.

  • NOTICE THE ROD IS BLACK LOL

  • bought it.. tried it.. hated that bitch ass square gate from Japan.. replaced it with an 8 way and it still wasnt as good as the circular gates that the arcades had here. waste of money.. I played better on the 360 controller.. but man.. what a let down. I hate square gates.

  • "so get one of theses ... and then you will be just like Precision MD"

    haha

  • haha "sounds like the new new, the new new"

  • wow u mashed that fadc into ultra

  • if daigo and justin wong use it, you know its good lol.

ive had my TE for about 2-3 weeks, i play with it everyday =)

  • dude stop hiding your identity no one cares

  • It's his "thing"... I kinda like it, makes him stand out.

  • i play street fighter anniversary (its and xbox origianl) on my 360 can i play that game with a tournement stick

  • OMFGBBQZING!! I came three times while I read your comment!!!1! Dude everyone can play the damn game(s) without one of these. This thing just adds an extra touch of, albeit sexy, ease to the game. You tried to sound cool, but failed. It was like launching a plane off the deck without its engines on.

  • no i was asking a question, it was suppost to be " IF" i play the game for the 360 can i use the fight stick to play the game,

  • DUly noted. My bad. Yes you can. I have the same stick and it rocks ma'balls. Expensive, yes, but very well worth it if you're really into fighting games. My apologies about the sarcastic synical comment, I tend to be quite an asshole when I spot stupidity, but this time it seems I'm the stupid one. Cheers~

  • you should take off your mask....it helps that viewers tend to identify with a face better and makes your videos more appealing.

  • let's say I bought a HRAP3 and repleaced all the hori button with sanwa.. will the TE still be better ?

  • Yes, the TE would still be better.

  • then I will get it..

  • @enditend i would still rather get an hrap3 then mod it later. I cant spend an arm and a leg just to get an arcade stick lol.

  • Is this better than the Hori stick? Someone please reply. This question has been bugging me for ages

  • ofcourse this is,

    in my opinion.

  • It's better than the Hori EX2 is every conceivable way possible.

As for the Pro EX3's? Well, that's really a matter of preference....you can probably find the TE at retail easier than the Hori.

Might be easier just to buy the mad catz standard stick and mod it...you get a great box and all the wiring/insides ready, you just have to order the sanwa buttons and sticks and do the 2 hours of work required to mod it...

  • Thank you very much! I plan on getting the Mad Catz stick. It looks brilliant.

    Thank you, again

  • not even 2 hours. the standard edition stick is set up so well inside that it just becomes a matter of plugging wires in. maybe like 30 mins?

  • WARNING:

Anyone interested in getting the PS3 version of this stick for use with the PC emulator fighting games, get the Xbox version INSTEAD. The PS3 version is not fully compatible with newer motherboards that use a Nvidia chipset. I bought the PS3 version and I had to get a PCI USB card that uses a VIA chipset for it to work.

However this is very solid stick, buttons are very responsive with the slightest touch to. It's bulky but it feel sturdy and you can place it on your laps :)

  • thanks for the info i was just about to buy the ps3 one for my pc. heh.

  • Square gates suck. get an octagonal gate for your TE stick.

  • they dont suck its easier to hit the corners you dont have to set up yourself with a square gate to charge you have corners for that you would get whooped at an tournament with that shit thats why i got the fightstick in the first place but i guess if your a fireball character it would be slightly easier not a big difference but your wrong get your shit straight ive been playing for 13 years

  • I know octa works better for motion based characters, which is why I got it. I'm not a charger fan really. It wasn't slightly easier, it was alot for me I noticed. heck, I could do basic combos easier on the 360 analog stick then I could on the square gate. octa is better for me.

13 years huh? good for you. I've been going 10 on circular gates and those are great. square is not for me, it sucks. :p lol

  • cool well its preety easy for me to do hadoukens and basic combos with the square gate easily it just takes time to get youst to unless your in a hurry or something your just youst to playing circular gates for all those yars and feel weird with it i always liked squared since i grew up on my uncles street fighter 2 machine he had when i was younger and i bought it from him after he got sick so to each his own they dont suck!!!

  • they suck for me :p lol

  • charge characters are harder to play with get some skills nimwitt lol just kidding.

  • I know they are harder, which is why we only see motion-based characters in the finals or semi finals in tournies.. well.. at least the ones I saw.

But I did say I played with 3 chargers so there's some merit, I just don't feel like "proving" something by having a charger as my main.

I wondered how much more competition there would be if all chargers were changed to motion based. I think we'd see more Vega, Bison, Honda and Blanka players ripping shotos apart.

  • are you kidding me some of the best palyers in the world are charge characters Alex valle bison, gootecks balrog, combofiend balrog, dagger g Guile, man cmon its the guy who plays not the player to me one of the best jap players in the world his name is tetsu he mains el fuerte and hes bottom tier i have a hard time beliving youve been playing for so long and coming up with something like that. i raelly find charge characters more unpredictable than shoto players.

  • I've only seen Valle's Ken and Wong's Balrog. The only guile's I've seen are the ones that are sonic boom happy in Super Turbo. I just ain't a fan of chargers.

  • I wanna buy one in a week but I dont wanna end up with a stick that has a square gate.. I want one with the american style octagon gates..

  • man if you play charge characters that would be a stupid move of changing it to an octo. square gate is better for me since i play with charge characters why downgraid it? it does the job for you.

  • The only charge I use is Bison, Vega and Guile and that's 1 out of like 10 matches. The rest is anyone and everyone who is motion based inputs. So octagonal works better for me.

  • "does it make any noise?" *shakes it* *scratchscatchscratch*

    "no nothing there" ROFL HAAHAHAHH

  • I thought that too, but that was actually the noise of the joystick protector ring that sits on the base of the stick. It sits loose, so apart from that there were no noises from inside the stick

  • LOL i kno eh thats what i thoguht too...you can fully hear that scratching sound LOL

  • where i can buy one online that ships to Italy??

  • I got the stick its excellent! The only thinkg I hate with your video is.....english voices for SFIV are gay...japanese voice overs are way better!!!

  • Weeaboo, go back to your Hello Kitty convention.

  • But the design is pretty bad-ass. Mad Catz out did themselves with the designs on both sticks (especially the TE edition), but I'd still prefer modding my own fight stick with Sanwa parts.

  • I could never pay $150 for that. It's cheaper buying the parts from Sanwa or Seimitsu & making it yourself. You can get a solid Sanwa joystick for $30.00 and 8 buttons for another $30.00 or so. Also, a PCB is easy to find on E-bay. It's also easy to build your own panel or take advantage of a panel from a cheaper fight stick. With a little effort one can make a bad ass fight stick with quality Sanwa for under $150.00. You can even add an LED to light the buttons up and it still could be cheaper.

  • What are you talking about? Each Sanwa Button is about $25.00. Plus, you have to get the joystick, and the cabinet. I think it would be pretty hard to make a joystick with all Sanwa parts for under $150.00. I have 2 TE's and my friend has 1 TE and 1 SE. The SE is okay but the TE buttons, and joystick are SO much better. The buttons are way more sensitive and the whole joystick themselves just feel more quality with TE's. For the parts youre getting $150 is not that bad.

  • What are you talking about? Sanwa buttons are around $2-3 per button and the Joysticks are around $30 depending on which site you buy on.

  • Yeah, youre right. I musta read something wrong.

  • If you don't already have the tools and knowledge on how to do the woodwork, building a box for japanese parts can be a hassle. $150 is a fair price for the TE.

  • Any one that once this stick the shop i go to there has plenty of themmmmm it aint evn selling in london come east london i will direct u to the shop

  • Doctor the way you play your stick makes me scared. spent 150 on that shitt and u smash it like is nothing. i was like that at the begining i used my first stick as a training hahah and fuckin returned that junk and exchanged it for a new one hahah am taking it easyyy on the buttons

  • wut a geek

  • Holy shit your tv lags bad.

  • Nice Video.... I love the Tournament Stick I have 3 of them best arcade stick ever made =)

  • I just replaced my one. because i had a bad feeling about it. i scratched it up i ws smahing the buttons etc. but i guess the first te helped me to get my skills back up on the arcade sticks coz i tottaly lost and lack of skills but it helped me now returned to the shop told them lies like it keeps reconnecting nd connecting bla bla bla and i got a nice fresh stickk am not even lookin to touch it thats how scared i am lol am lookin to put a plastic cover onto so it wont get scratched
