  • love "Neverthless" so much!!! :)

  • My grandfather was a huge Mills Brothers and Ink Spots fan. He grew up with them really being born in 1904. We have about 30 albums of theirs in with his other music. I'm going to dig them out and figure out how to get them on my Ipod LOL

  • How many groups of singers made so much money just to trying to copy the Mills. and yet The mills will keep the one the first place... I was born in Santiago Chile, I will tell my friends about the Mills!!!!

  • Norman Brown was a smooth as silk. What pipes!

  • Excellent.

  • @ JerseyRed DEvil58- A Beautiful Post and That Is What Makes The Mills Brothers So Special. Their Wonderful Talent and Dedicated Fans Such As You and Mom and Dad. Thank You".

  • They were an inspiration to many singers, including Dean Martin.

  • My parents loved the Mills Brothers. My mom is in a nursing home now and dad has recently passed. I call every night to let my mom hear her music, and I can picture the two of them dancing and singing in each other's arms so beautifully.....Thanks for putting this on YouTube....

  • this is for my mother. She loved this song and danced with my father when they got to see them live.

  • So glad I discovered these uber talented fellas. :D Thank you for posting.

  • Queen of the Senior Prom is a perfect showcase song for the incredible voices of these three guys....and i agree Norman Brown was a great accompanist. thanks for posting.

  • ....funny how all today's stresses fall away when I listen to these guys......and I listen every day......thanks

  • Norman Brown was brilliant.

  • excuse me...but is the guitarist part of the "mills brothers"? is he also a Mill? thanks

  • No, that's Norman Brown

  • @millsbrothers Their brother was the original guitar player, but died in the 30's in London, I think, from pneumonia. They almost broke up, but kept going.

  • No,it is Norman Brown of The Count Basie orchestra.

But originally it was their brother John Mills. But he died in 1935.

  • Hello again.

Sorry, John Mills died in 1936.

  • My Dad played The Mills Brothers over and over on the record table. My Dad had a big tape recorder he bought for himself at 15.

  • I'm a young Italian guy, my father had a record of Mills Bros... now I love their music.

Thanks' to my father and Mills Brothers!

  • This wonderful music just confirms how lucky I was to have lived during this time. I saw America at it's best and the music was real music!

  • When we lost the talent of the Mills Bros we lost what music is all about! I know I will never see them replaced in my lifetime just so glad I shared part of the era with them

  • THE BEST!!!

  • Sugarbehr1967, I have to agree with you on that one. The first time I heard the first piece was as the conclusion song to the horror flick Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night ll. I fell for it right away, I still sherish this stunning piece...Queen of the Senior Prom. I can't get away from its magic...it's just too beautiful, so unique, special as can be!

  • I am in complete agreement with you..the gentle simplicity of the melody and the lyrics just make you long for a simpler, gentler time..what a magical time that must have been!

  • Love this first song..heard a snippet of it on the soundtrack of the horror movie 'Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II'..and fell in love with it..thank you for posting this and the others..

  • The Best OF the Best

  • More great harmony carried over from Part 1. I hope more of the younger generation take the time to listen to these wonderful singers.

  • Who cares if the younger generation takes the time to listen to these wonderful singers. We like them!! Let the younger kids have their shitty crappy music of today.

  • Haha ... I listen to some of their music and it is not all bad. I was saying I wished more would listen to the music of the Mills Brothers. I was thinking maybe they could be as opened minded about some of the older classics as some of us older maybe not classic folks are about their music.

    As an really oldster said:

    Music gives a

    soul to the universe

    wings to the mind

    flight to the imagination

    and life to everything

    Plato

We could all use a little harmony in our lives.

    Just my opinion

  • this is correct , there was a certain kind of magic when these guys sang, . . looks like you tube is a time machine , even if only a few moments at a time , . . its a pleasant escape from the mindless drivell that these people call music ,
