About cleaning the 19C...I bought a small parts washer from Northern Tool and bought a bulk quantity can of Hoppe's #9. I get home from the range and have 3 guns spic and span, reassembled and in the GunVault in about 40 mins. Just love the smell of gun solvent in the garage.
I have a G36 and a G19C. The 19C is the home defense gun. I carry the G36 for concealment purposes, obviously. The ported barrell of the 19C takes damn near all the recoil away and this thing has shot sweet groups from the box. I put an extended slide release on it and nite sights and the gun is just awsome. 2000 rounds later and not a wobble. Only drawback is cleaning the critter. As you can imagine, the ported barrel is great on recoil but it'll crap up the frame.
He safety checks in the video as most people do to display the importance of always making sure you are using an unloaded gun when handling in a video.
Very well done. “Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.”
This particular one is a Gen3 if I'm not mistaken. Many people like the gen3 better than the 4. I just ordered my gen4 today and will do a unboxing, shooting, and conclusion video.
is this glock you are reviewing a 3 gen glock 19 or a 4th gen glock 19? and how is the recoil on it, can a female handle and shoot it. i am thinking about getting one
Thanks for the review, bought a 19c and its well worth the cost, fires great. Those conversion kits are cool and all but why the hell would I want to shoot .22s in my glock?
@ebwrath you might want to use 22s when your just firing but when your out hunting or you need protection use the 9mm 22 rounds cost alot less so use those for fun and 9mm for protection
Thanks for your experience. I have a permit, but haven't purchased a gun, yet.
I'm in CT, and have seen that Cabellas has Glock police trade-ins for $359. Have you seen the ad? I can't afford $600 right now, and thought that this would be an affordable way to enter the firearm scene.
Got mine a few days ago brand new for $200 from a friend. Super great deal, but im in love with this gun. Definitely wanna get the light you have and then maybe those lil plugs you can get for the butt of the handle
@torontothegood Yeah 2 bills. Not gonna believe it but its brand new. I really aint even into guns like that but Ive always wanted one and a deal like that I couldnt pass up. My friend sold it to me. brand new, only been shot 1x, reason I know besides him telling me and the condition, cuz he even have me a box of 50 round with 1 gone. came with the box, 2 15 round mags, and loading assist. Best deal ever.
The Glock 19 GEN3 or 4 is an amazing sidearm, however your review is honestly terrible, you didn't know the correct names of the parts you were trying to talk about and you honestly said "uh/ um" 53 TIMES! You said "uh or um" mathematically every 5.3 seconds of a 10 minuet video. Write out a script so you can finish a sentence without being followed by an UH, UM SERIOUSLY, 53! TIMES, that's got to be some sort of record. Thumbs DOWN for the review, (Not the Glock)
Glock is certainly not the most tested pistol in the world. That title would likely go to the 1911 and the Beretta 92 after that. Regardless, I really like the review. I have such a hard time conceiving shooting a pistol without a hammer, but am actually considering it for carry. Your review has almost made me turn to the dark side.
nice vid, but i do have one question.the place i get my guns sells glocks for $500-$550, the gun i want, the scorpion costs $700. would you recomend one over the other? i am kinda tight on cash and thats why i wanted to mention the prices
I just went out today and ordered the gun shown in this video. Ran me $520 total. But that's here in Ohio, where the gun laws are kinda loose. Depending on where your at it may be more if you have licensing fees and what not.
@torontothegood Conversion kits are great for a few things. One is the ability to practice using a much cheaper ammo. While 9mm isn't the most expensive round, buying a box or two here and a box or two there can really add up. Secondly, .22lr is a cheap round with low recoil which is great for training beginners who might be recoil shy. After getting used to the trigger and controls of the gun as well as the recoil, you can then begin to train them using 9mm by converting it back.
from what ive herd the that the glocks plomer frame should break after 3000 rounds because of the ejection prosses of the bullet. so will the glock realy be a gun that last a high supply of amo threw along period of time? i want a gun that will last but also is light to carry a high copastiy amo clip. would you recomend a glock?
My dad surprised me with a G19 on Monday :). 3rd Gen, barely used, I LOVE IT SOOO MUCH. I literally shot a perfect double tap less than a half inch spread at 15 yards then one to the head DEAD CENTER, my very first three shots. The other seven I used to seal my victory over my buddies when we did a 10-shot mini competition.
@huggy3ear, trust me dude. This is one the safest guns you could own. You keep your finger off of the trigger (unless you are dry-fire practicing which I do almost daily, away from all ammo and constantly doing chamber-checks for the dummy rounds), and you'll be just fine :)
The only external safety is on the trigger, which means you can't snag the trigger and fire it. You have to actually be pressing the trigger. The lack of thumb-safeties actually is a life-saver in a self defensive situation
hey.. um... i like this gun... um.... its great....um..... um..... i have a flashlight.... um....really it was good and lots of info, try to not use "um" or "and" so much it kinda gets distracting. good vid keep them coming ;)
The 1911 is by far my go-to pistol. But Glock has a great design. High capacity. Low weight. I can shoot their pistols with considerable accuracy in comparison to many others. I think a lot of it has to do with that the gun has a light trigger. My only qualm about the gun is it's lack of an external safety other than on the trigger. It's like carrying a double-action revolver and I'd be fearful of re-holstering and shooting a hole in my foot. They are also more affordable than H&K or SIG Sauer.
-and in my personal experience - aside from the defects with some of the Glockis' frame rails causing exploding guns - Glock has a more reliable design than the Springfield XD series. Glock to me is more like the Honda Civics of the gun world. H&K would be the Mercedes-Benz. 1911 would be the Ferrari.
@marcus123452 - It depends on the state you live in. I know Illinois is one state where you have to have a license to buy a firearm. Most states don't require you to have a license to buy a firearm. For handguns, most states are a two week waiting period. I only have a two day. Lucky me.
@lordfoxula- Can you denounce your citizenship and try to become an American citizen? Im sure you will love the freedom that we have comparing to your home land.
Gun restriction stops the people from being able to take a stand. Don't be fooled, America may have have the right to own and use firearms, but the restrictions and police harrasment come with it. Gun restriction is only fine if a society is okay with it. Obviously, in our times people do not want firearm restriction, the people are the masters of what goes on!
@lordfoxula in england most cops just have batons and whistles look up the video of the axe stand off but they make up for the limited weaponry in brutality
yeah, i had a few brits come to my gun range a few days ago and they had a blast firing all kinds of weapons like this one, the 1911's and the 50 cal desert eagle
yaaa i get it but there the price in europe and americas are sooo high here in pakistan u can get glock17,19,26 about 250us$ and they are muchmuch more better and reliable because they are giving a lifetime replacement warranty with guns even if it jam one time u can get ur money back along with new glock free because they call themselves son of guns this is such a preety nice video i like it
I have a love/hate relationship with living in the UK, on one hand, I love social healthcare, on the other, i hate our gun laws. Why don't our goverment trust us to own handguns? i don't get it.
@SwoopdySwoop, oh yeah, having to sell my Kimber TLE 2 was the most difficult thing I had to do as far as selling things I love. My only complaints were the weight (I got back problems), and the finish. The Glock 19 is perfect for just about anyone, imo
Thanks for the video. I'm looking to get a gun soon and am looking at a glock. I was looking at a 22 but recently I went to a gun shop to get some info and I held both the 22 and the 19 in my hands. The 19 fits to my hand a lot better, so that's probably whT I'll get. Thanks for the video.
Just put money down on a Glock 19. Had to treat myself after having to sell off all four of my other guns (two Beretta 92 fs, Springfield XDm, and Kimber Custom TLE 2). And I'm feeling really great about this one. Especially since I have severe back and leg pain, my Kimber was just too much weight for me. In comparison the Glock 19 is like a feather.
I'm looking into either a beretta or the g19..... This has been helpful! What would be your thoughts? Need something for home and target practice live in R.I. so I know the laws are differenrent from C.T. Thanx
9mm the .22 calibers brother. The 22 rtf2 and on a glock if your pistol iis pushed against you or someone else it will not fire. not true my 23 is dialed in just like my 27 they both have 250mm twist your the accuracy. picatini rails is what thats called ya know where your flashlight goes.

@snowblind9094- Have a daily hard-on with my G19. My wife tells me, ''Why in the hell you love that gun so much?'', I tell her, ''Because the gun does not complain to me..it only talks to me when I go to the range.'' LOL
@KING5TORM1418 i had this same gun it is a pile of freakin crap i went to the range and pulled the triger one time and the gun blew up and blew my thumb off.. them guns suck. if you want a real gun get a hi point.. its way cheeper and works better.
i want the tact light so bad >.< but its so expensive like $99 fuck! I have the laser night sight (pressure activated) that hugs around the glock's handle. Do you see a little hole there? thats what its for its always ready when i hold it and when i let go the laser turns off by itslef. Costed over $200 but was worth it cuz in an emergency i wudnt have time to turn stuff on or off. Glcoks are good guns :)
im looking for a gun because spmeone recently broke into my house aand stole alot of shit so will this gun stop someone if you shoot them or will it justr piss them off
depends if someones strung out on crack u might have to empty several rounds into them...an ak wud suit u perfectly as by u pulliong the trigger doing burst shots i doubt anyone wud survive that..btw no vest can pretty much block an AK's bullet so just putting that out there. I also own a GLOCK 19 great gun but i want an AK bad for home protection and shit.lol
What I don´t get with Glocks, how do you decock it. You know, if you pull the slide to get the round into the chamber but don´t want to keep it cocked. Thanks for explaination...
@kedluben what ya mean? like a safety? well...for me personally as a person who carries his gun in zippered gun pouches and lays it on his car seat (legal in FL)sometimes there is a fear of something setting the trigger off so waht i do is..i pull it back to make sure a bullet isnt in there and dry fire like done in video and load a mag.. thats a good thing cuz its like the only safety feature u got but then again its bad cuz if its not cocked and if ur in an emergency 1 second cud = ur life
cool video...im also a glock lover myself, i have a 3rd generation g23 and g27 (edc)! love it...i also have a s&w sw40ve, but im thinking about trading or selling this for a g19! and for home defense, my big betty bopper benelli m4...
I got my first Glock back in 1990 and it has have never regretted it. Very nice gun, I would have paid twice as much. I have never got a baby Glock but will someday.

nice video here, but a little correction, this is not a subcompact as mentioned in the video, this is Glock 19 and is a compact size, the subcompact is the Glock26.
I bought a Springfield .45 Service model a while back. It's a nice gun.
I see a lot of Springfield owners saying their guns are better than Glocks, yet how can anyone say that when one sees how well Glocks perform in all these YT torture tests?
Where can you buy this thing for less then 500$?

I have a love/hate relationship with living in the UK, on one hand, I love social healthcare, on the other, i hate our gun laws. Why don't our goverment trust us to own handguns? i don't get it.
SuperFeimer 1 year ago
i would say the 1911 45 is the most test hand gun in the would being used for 100 years....

@SwoopdySwoop, oh yeah, having to sell my Kimber TLE 2 was the most difficult thing I had to do as far as selling things I love. My only complaints were the weight (I got back problems), and the finish. The Glock 19 is perfect for just about anyone, imo

@hoboboxerjoe thats good to hear you found a comfortable gun gotta have at least one

In comparison the Glock 19 is like a feather.

can you put an silencer on a glock 19?
noobcake56 1 year ago
@noobcake56 you have to buy a threaded barrel, then your ready to roll.

@tristatenews thanks man, what about the glock 17? or is it the same

what about a new small pistol genre: CDP (compact defense pistol) ?

I'm looking into either a beretta or the g19..... This has been helpful! What would be your thoughts? Need something for home and target practice live in R.I. so I know the laws are differenrent from C.T. Thanx

9mm the .22 calibers brother. The 22 rtf2 and on a glock if your pistol iis pushed against you or someone else it will not fire. not true my 23 is dialed in just like my 27 they both have 250mm twist your the accuracy. picatini rails is what thats called ya know where your flashlight goes.
2010mooseknuckle 1 year ago
@2010mooseknuckle the 9 mm is no brother of .22

@snowblind9094- Have a daily hard-on with my G19. My wife tells me, ''Why in the hell you love that gun so much?'', I tell her, ''Because the gun does not complain to me..it only talks to me when I go to the range.'' LOL
KING5TORM1418 11 months ago 16

@superSTONEDpwners
depends if someones strung out on crack u might have to empty several rounds into them...an ak wud suit u perfectly as by u pulliong the trigger doing burst shots i doubt anyone wud survive that..btw no vest can pretty much block an AK's bullet so just putting that out there. I also own a GLOCK 19 great gun but i want an AK bad for home protection and shit.lol
True2TheBlueYoViGang 1 year ago
@superSTONEDpwners it would stop them it could also kill them if u shot them in the right spot .
marcus123452 1 year ago
What I don´t get with Glocks, how do you decock it. You know, if you pull the slide to get the round into the chamber but don´t want to keep it cocked. Thanks for explaination...
kedluben 1 year ago
@kedluben what ya mean? like a safety? well...for me personally as a person who carries his gun in zippered gun pouches and lays it on his car seat (legal in FL)sometimes there is a fear of something setting the trigger off so waht i do is..i pull it back to make sure a bullet isnt in there and dry fire like done in video and load a mag.. thats a good thing cuz its like the only safety feature u got but then again its bad cuz if its not cocked and if ur in an emergency 1 second cud = ur life
True2TheBlueYoViGang 1 year ago
cool video...im also a glock lover myself, i have a 3rd generation g23 and g27 (edc)! love it...i also have a s&w sw40ve, but im thinking about trading or selling this for a g19! and for home defense, my big betty bopper benelli m4...

So if the safety on the gun is disengaged as soon as the trigger is pulled...doesnt that defeat the whole purpose of having a safety?
gingerspaz239 1 year ago
@gingerspaz239 the only reason you would need a manual safety on your gun is if you are a idiot with it :)

I bought a Springfield .45 Service model a while back. It's a nice gun.
I see a lot of Springfield owners saying their guns are better than Glocks, yet how can anyone say that when one sees how well Glocks perform in all these YT torture tests?
