@Audricd Because when you buy ODST, you also get Halo 3's multiplayer which has matchmaking, forge, theater, and custom games. That includes all the mappacks. ODST also has firefight, which IS multiplayer, just not matchmaking. but the second disk does have matchmaking.
@xZer0s Yeah, i understand where your comming from but honestly, maybe just me, i actually liked the beta better matchmaking wise. forge and stuff are better in the game obviously since it wasnt in the beta. But the beta was more enjoyable for me (not because it was the first time)... besides the over powered grenades T__T
@sstormlai33 the grenades where way to powerfull in the beta and I think bungie got to add one thing that i would love and that is spartan vs elites, i dont know why they took it out but i thought that was pretty awesome but so far the game is getting better with the new modes they came out with

@skytop082 What you described was Modern Warfare 2, not Halo. Bad Company 2 is a great game, but it doesn't have a lot of game modes and it is really easy to unlock the majority of the guns and attachments. I have never heard of Team fortress 2, or Blacklight, and I have never seen a single person play Counter Strike on the Xbox. Halo, on the other hand, is the best game franchise for xbox for many reasons (variety of modes... forge, theater, and many game modes, etc.) Gears of War is also good.

Team Fortress 2 is a class based Shooter with a Cartoon Style, Blacklight: Tango down is on the XBL Arcade for $15 and kills MW 2 in every way, shape and form, Download the trial and you'll see, I would say the best franchise on the Xbox is Mass Effect for its superb storyline, characters, and combat.

@skytop082 I really don't know why people say "all the little kids play halo". I play Halo a lot and I very rarely come across kids with mics in. You are kind of right about the weapon stuff, but I enjoy that, I mean you all have a chance at the weapon. If someone has a power weapon outsmart them, that is the whole point. And Halo reach did add recoil. Also most of the maps in Halo 3 do not have banshees, or scorpions, but again I like both of those. Lastly, the Halo series has great campaign.
@Cade9522 Okay game-play in the campaign but horrible storyline, Master Chief is probably one of the most overrated game characters of all time, he barely talks at all and most of the time he sounds like he wants to hump the damned AI, Hell you could replace him with Gordon Freeman at important parts of the story and nobody would notice. @skytop082 Okay, for one, there wouldn't be any recoil, because you play as an elite or a spartan, one of the stongest species in the galaxy. Second, you have the grenades intensely backwards. I am excessively getting killed by grenades on Modern Warfare 2 like a mile away. Third, Modern Warfare is the real noob game. It's one of the first games that I have played that has too many features. All you need is a modded controller a G18 A Grenade launcher scar h and your ready to go.

@skytop082 I really don't know why people say "all the little kids play halo". I play Halo a lot and I very rarely come across kids with mics in. You are kind of right about the weapon stuff, but I enjoy that, I mean you all have a chance at the weapon. If someone has a power weapon outsmart them, that is the whole point. And Halo reach did add recoil. Also most of the maps in Halo 3 do not have banshees, or scorpions, but again I like both of those. Lastly, the Halo series has great campaign.

@Cade9522 Okay game-play in the campaign but horrible storyline, Master Chief is probably one of the most overrated game characters of all time, he barely talks at all and most of the time he sounds like he wants to hump the damned AI, Hell you could replace him with Gordon Freeman at important parts of the story and nobody would notice. Miranda got pwned and when i was playing co-op when Johnson died the other players were on the verge of crying, as for Me....i was laughing my ass off!!

@skytop082 That's another thing, I really love the Halo storyline. I really just get into Halo. I guess I just get into i a lot because the original Halo was one of my first games for the Xbox.... I actually just realized that I got the original Halo when I was maybe like 9 years old. I'm 15 now, but I used to love to play Halo campaign with my friends. Then when I got my xbox like a year and a half ago, my first game was Halo 3, and I was like, OH SHIT, when I saw the changes from Halo 2.

@Cade9522 Maybe its because if it was your first, Play the Half Life or Mass Effect series and the Halo storyline will look bad, When i played Modern warfare 2 after finishing Mass Effect 2 the storyline all the sudden made no sense at all, and with Halo...... i wouldnt be surprised if it was joker under that helmet since he seems to have a thing for A.I.s

@Severepwner Halo 3 is just bad, No recoil on guns so you can just spray and pray, frag and gas grenades explode on impact and have the blast radius of a nuke, Cheap guns and vehicles, More 8 year olds then the 3rd grade, Stupid wiggers, Its just bad, but there is hope for Halo Reach, Hopefully it wont turn out like the sonic series and bungie will pull something original out their ass.

@skytop082 Okay, for one, there wouldn't be any recoil, because you play as an elite or a spartan, one of the stongest species in the galaxy. Second, you have the grenades intensely backwards. I am excessively getting killed by grenades on Modern Warfare 2 like a mile away. Third, Modern Warfare is the real noob game. It's one of the first games that I have played that has too many features. All you need is a modded controller a G18 A Grenade launcher scar h and your ready to go.

Its basically a "realistic" Halo, you just run around shooting everywhere. Its not even realistic at all, who in the world can take 5 shots to the head with now helmet and still live?!?
Plus they need to incorporate more blood and dismemberment, a .50 cal should tear off limbs!

its an arcade game, that is one of the "COD" franchise rules ,not everything meant to be realistic, if you don't like it nobody will care if you wanna keep it up or not.
go play BF:BC2 and OFP:DR and enjoy wasting 3 hours from your time sprinting without doing anything.

Well at least you know there are other shooters other then COD, so I kinda respect you. BC2 is more of a game thats in between OFP:DR and MW2, you have to get to your next location which can be fun(running over people, and maybe getting a Heli) and it still has the firefights.
I read the gameinformers thing on MW1, and they kept saying that its the most realistic shooter game ever and other bullshit. obvoisly they dont know that real soldiers dont carry 2 weapons with 400 rounds for each gun.
