Anyone else find it weird that Michael Ball is singing this song? O_o Not that it's bad, he did a good job. Just, after listening to the 10th Anniversary concert over and over, this is just WEIRD.

@AliSwan91896 Michael has played Valjean. However it was only for a royal command performance at Windsor Castle back in 2004. He has been offered the role in the West End at least once, but declined it because he doesn't feel he has the right voice for it. He has said IF he were to return to Les Mis it would be to play Javert. If would love him in either role, but most of all I would love to see play The Phantom....

@06s091 YES! I think he should have been cast for the Phantom in the movie version instead of Gerard Butler :/ He's about the right age and most importantly, he CAN sing (as opposed to Butler). But on stage would even be better!!!

I never noticed what a good Jean Valjean he would make! He just needs to lose a little bit of weight . He made an excellent Marius, I seriously think he should go as Jean Valjean.

He sings it beautifully, but at a much lower pitch. I guess he is less comfortable singing in a high pitch than Colm Wilkinson
