  • does it look good without smoke?

  • @DJyoungprodigy well you can't see the beams without smoke, well you can on the back wall but its just random shapes that don't make any sense unless there is smoke for the sky effects, if you want something without using fog i would recommend a scorpion storm, or some other star field effect. but if your planning on doing weddings don't use any laser that touches anyone since it comes out bad in the pictures.

  • @DJyoungprodigy let me put it this way, if i cant bring the fog machine, i will not break out the laser... you cant see the beams with any laser, but the design on the back wall isnt something nice to look at, its designed to be used in fog. if you want a laser to use without fog, i would get one of those stary things

  • like the BEST .. high speed camera money can buy ,

and the best LASER money can buy ,

    youtube.com/watch?v=F52dx9Z0L5k

    even great at 240 p

  • song or gtfo

  • What camera did you use? I hate how My BB storm records lasers! I get that same curving fading side to side effect! In case anyone was wondering, That's NOT the laser! Its a very solid beam! Chauvet Makes the Best "consumer" lasers!

  • @kerzwhile i used a flip, lasers never seem to look right on cheaper cameras

  • @dac121979 I think if because of the aperture of the camera and the speed is capturing the light. I believe at 60fps is actually fasted than the speed the mirrors are moving from the laser or something like that, but you are right I own a LGX scorpion and a Galaxian 3d and they deft look solid

  • how far does the laser go approx.?

  • well the bar i use it at, you can see hitting buildings on the other side of the street with no problem, as long as there's enough smoke you can see the laser for at least 100 feet

  • LIKE

  • What's better American Dj Galaxian Sky or Chauvet Scorpion Sky Laser?

  • no clue, this one looked the best so i got it...

  • @Crisonigtion Galaxian Sky is for more full dancefloor effect. The Scorpion sky is for more of a rave-ish, concert effect. <-- And the Scorpion Sky reaches further because its fatbeam.

  • @Crisonigtion the scorpion is better in my opinion. chauvet outdoes adj most of the time. for a better laser head to xlaser

  • mmmm mine doesnt do that.... what mode is it in??

  • pretty much every light/laser has a sound mode, read your instructions and you need to set your DMX switches to the on position and then the laser will change with each beat

  • I have not seen laser yet that went to the music using the stand alone sound mode so I would not sweat it. DMX control preprogramming to a track in advance is how they do it at the shows.

  • that would be great if someone made one that did, i mean just changing it with the beat really doesnt add much to the show

  • is this with our without fog? i cant tell

  • lots of fog, if there wasnt any you wouldnt beable to see the beams at all.

  • alright so a fogger is necessary. hah kinda a dumb question i guess. but thanks. do you recommend it for a guy who wants some lights for music in his basement?

  • depends how big your basement is, im about 15 feet back from this in this video and it doesnt do it justice, also check out my other video with the dj scans, when i have all 4 of them going in a smaller room they really outshine the laser

  • Hi, I just bought one of these, used it at a club (a small lounge). We could see it at times (not brilliantly) when the smoke was on, but all the other lights (and it was still dark) easily drowned it out. The final straw came when a gut showed up with a laser pen that, hit the mirror ball and alpha maled this laser. Is that normal or is mine knackered? Thanks for the response and help.

  • i think your mirrors are dirty, check out my other video of the 2 of them, i have used this in a gym before and you could see it perfectly on the back wall(a basketball court away) and some of the lights were still on, when looking at the laser it was still farily bright but you could only see the beams when it was passing though the fog

  • this laser is only a 10mw laser. it's not terribly effective and i can def see other lights drowning it out. I own one of these and i enjoy it. But i would not recommend this for a club. it's simply not powerful enough to compete with other lights.

  • i agree, if you are using this as one of the main effects get something way more powerful, but if your in a smaller venue or use use it when you black out the other lights it works pretty well, lets just put it this way... you get what you pay for, and if you want a laser that you dont need to worry about variances and such its not a bad laser, and its way better then those crappy rew 5mw lasters out there!

  • Oh yeah! 5mw are very bad!

  • is this running on sound active or DMX?

  • sound active, the only thing the dmx is good for is if you want to pretty much stop it in one place or shape

  • are these wide range... cuz im looking for one to cover as much area as possible

  • yeah, i used it in a gym and it covered pretty much the entire back wall

  • whats better this one or the scorpion storm???

  • depends what you want, i love the liquid sky, thats why i got this one, the storm is an awesome laser it is like a moon flower type effect, the storm does not have liquid sky...

  • thanks man ill check em out

  • I have used it in gyms before and I cant get enough fog to really see it shine, I have mounted a smaller adj fog machine directly under is so at least people can see what it can do. Just to much ventilation in those places!

  • great video but what song is that and by what artist?

  • its space girl- exstacy

  • thank you

  • wait are you sure? because i can't find it. . .

  • yeah it is, i was a big fan of hers back in the day, (2000ish) i just looked and her web page isnt up any more but she still has a myspace page but it woulnt let me post it on here.

  • How much does this laser cost and would you recommend it for a mid sized room and could you please rate it out of ten

  • I have this laser, the Chauvet LG60 , the RG55, LGX3355 and the ADJ tri beam.. The Sky is by far my favorite of the group! I use it in a building that is 200' wide and the laser is very visible from end to end. With the right fog it looks amazing! This laser in a Mid-size room would be sick!!
