Aldi, lidl, iceland, poundland, sports direct, primark, hot deals .co .uk, to be honest you can live in the uk for very little if your prepared to sacrifice luxury or quality levels. But london isnt very nice, to be honest any British city isnt very nice. Maybe in certain areas and to outsiders that dont really feel any of the issues, our countryside and some of our sea side towns are awesome.

buy a travel card. spend a pound on the internet and see what is free. leaves you with what ever youve got to buy the cheapest snack you can.
loads of free stuff. you just need to find it. time out is a great place to start
