It deals with the progression of big and bigger government over the last 80-90 years and also talks about other aspects of society and calls attention to where we've been and where we're headed.

I want transparency in the next administration. Mccain is the only guy that can accomplish something by working with the democrats. He will dialog and perhaps consider ideas that might be a little out of the box. We need some fresh ideas in this country!

Republicans are 1/3 of the country (look at Bush's core constituency. His approval rating is down to 30s). That's 1/3 of the country. The other 1/3 is independents and another 1/3 of democrats. The hypocrisy is completely visible and the fact that Huckabee has received the evangelical vote although the power brokers in the evangelical movement refused to give him an endorsement tells me that much of the so called conservative power brokers in the party are out of touch with the grass roots. Actually Keith Olbermann is just as repulsive whiny a child as is Levin. I have no patience for either of them. Had their parents raised them right, the world would be that much a better place. But they did not - and so the whiny cry babies like Levin and Olberman.

Levin IS a true conservative and the fact that he has a widely popular radio program merely means that he knows how to incorporate entertainment into serious topic while being part of a small minority in the media who dares to call out Liberals on things that they normally always get a free pass on from the mainstream media.

Well, the written word has no voice or pitch or whine to it. And the content and theme of the book has nothing to do with Levin's radio antics. It deals with the progression of big and bigger government over the last 80-90 years and also talks about other aspects of society and calls attention to where we've been and where we're headed.
What you are doing is using Levin's radio levity to try to discredit him and marginalize him; which has nothing to do with his book. (contd)

I would give examples of Levin not being a conservative - but to interprete what I am saying - you will need to read and understand what conservative means! Like I said - Russell Kirk's book "The Conservative Mind" is accepted widely as an authoritative source that clarifies what it means.

Say a you are having a conversation with a welfare minded liberal - who argues that YOU should give to poor people. You ask him - okay, what did he give this year? He says nothing. Would you take him seriously? Levin is that liberal person. None of his children will EVER serve in the army - he knows whats good for them - instead the poor/and patriots should risk death for his favorite wars.

Kidd you can't govern with 1/3 of the country ok. That formula doesn't work So you need to have a meeting of minds between right and left. They should meet in the center. Otherwise nothing will get done. We have serious problems with health care costs, infrastructure, the airline system, military recruitment and size and many other problems that need to be addressed. When you say you can't work with democrats you are saying you can't govern because both sides need each other.

Republicans are 1/3 of the country (look at Bush's core constituency. His approval rating is down to 30s). That's 1/3 of the country. The other 1/3 is independents and another 1/3 of democrats. I applaud southern avenger's consistency. Something lacking in both sides of the aisle today. Conservatives have largely forgotten what conservatism is about and so have liberals what liberalism is about. The way Ron Paul has been demonized by elements in the republican party simply tells me that these folks are not interested in ideas but are rather opportunistic individuals whose opinions change with the times.

Your inclusion of Neal Boortz in that group is disappointing. He is nothing at all like the others, I assure you. I listen to his show every morning and he is almost literally the anti-Hannity.

Hannity and Romney are comical. These clowns are caricatures of themselves. It would be funny to see Romney get the nomination and then swing to the middle for the general. He's just shameless enough to do it.
Hannity is a well paid, if not too bright, party tool. He'd follow Romney through the gates of hell if those were the GOP marching orders. What joke, these two.
