  • Hi Chris,

great video! (like all the others)

Actually on my M800 (2004) it seams to me that they didn't use a classical gaskets as seen on your video, but gasket paste / compound. How to deal with that?

  • @BavarianDucatiM800 : yes, that gasket is one that we have manufactured for us. I do not like the gasket paste. As I learned on Japanese motorcycles, I never get the correct amount on Ducati engines. :D I make a gasket, problem solved.

  • Nice video!Thanks! :)

  • @gerardszm : The APTC Addler slipper clutch is different... haven't opened up my S2R800 yet.

  • I wondered what a 'fried' clutch would look like, but he didn't show us the used rings...How do we know when it's time to change the clutchrings? Nevertheless: Great video! KEEP POSTING!! I bought a 620 IE dark from 2004 recently and would really like to be able to do this stuff myself. Not to save me some money, but to have a good time relaxin'with the bike! :-) I subscribed!

  • @KitchenMarshall : a normally fried clutch looks about the same. Once they're way past being fried is when there are no more grooves in the friction material, the friction material turns black, driven (steel) plates turn different colors.
