These people who made such noise just didn't deserve to be there. They didn't appreciate the value of seeing Patrick, listening to his music live, breathing the same air... His reaction was not a diva tendency - everybody would be annoyed in his shoes! And I think he has the right to any behavior he likes for being such a genius, extremely talented and magnificent person.

I don't think its a diva tendency at all to want someone to shut up and respect you when you're playing a gig. Whether PW is at the same status of Bowie or not, he's there to entertain the audience with his music, he has written these songs for them to be heard and they should shut up and listen to them or leave.

sirhenry1234, I'm not going to have an argument with you, because clearly I can't change your views. What I will say is that the likes of Bowie, Grace Jones, et al, who I assume you're referring to, actually had a profound impact on music and culture. Patrick Wolf is a footnote in music. Bowie created an entire music, fashion and art movement, so even if he did have diva tendencies (which I have never heard of) then he at least had some kind of justification.

yes yes yes bowie had a great impact on music, he made a lot move forward, and if it werent for people like him and kate bush patrick wouldnt be around. my argument isnt his relation to bowie cuz frankly i dont really give a shit as much i like bowie. my point is that i dont think patrick wolf should be considered a "diva" for telling someone to shut up at his show. i think ANY musician, be it bowie or whoever would have the same reaction.

Brilliant, thank you. This was such an uncomfortable song to watch at the time, given the circumstances. It was very very saddening to be part of that crowd.
