  • Toyota is failing because no one has BIG MONEY to buy. We are giving chump change stimulus to pay a bill. It doesn't do anything. The Japanese Government MUST stimulate their economy by giving the currency to its people. The same with all government WORLD WIDE!!!

  • Hi, does anyone have this entire interview?

    Thanks.

  • TOYOTA LIED, PEOPLE DIED.

  • Toyota - "Moving Forward" - Even when you let your foot off the gas pedal..

Toyota - "Moving Forward" - Even when you stomp on the brakes..

Toyota - "Moving Forward" - Even when you shift into neutral & pull the E-brake.

Toyota - "Moving Forward" - Until it slams into the back of a semi-truck @ 110 mph

  • @SuperBigGulps A Camry with a faulty accelerator still breaks faster then a brand new Taurus with no throttle problem. Test performed by "Car and driver".

  • Car and Driver can not test a car even if they were given a free one after a test. Their articles are totally off.

  • Toyota was my favorite car company, but I switched over to Ford because their cars last long, and they don't have as many electrical problems as Toyota

  • After watching Congress grill this guy...I wish Congress had been this serious with our own American car company.

  • This company has needed a grilling for a longtime they have lied cheated bullied and bribed there way up the ladder and just when they touched the last rung and it broke on them.

  • Sincerity and honesty are not the real issues here. It's about building safe cars, and that's the reality facing Toyota. These Toyota idiots came out and told us "it was the floor mat". But, they ignored the actual problem. And then, they changed the story by saying, "yeah, it was the American-made gas pedal".

    Wait a minute.

Didn't they just scoff at their customers about electronic problems? So, where are their sorrow and sincerity? Or, are we still seeing Toyota's arrogance?

  • You are a fool, Johncarson9112. Toyota cars are some of the best there are. I have had many. They do not need to reinvent anything or reduce their product lines. If you have been following the story, then you will know that Toyota is still trying to identify precisely what needs to be repaired. I would still purchase a Toyota over any American car.

  • @dlwke2,

No you are, idiot! Go suck little Japs' dicks while they are taking our jobs and money away from us.

  • I'm hearing too many "sorry" and "we'll do better": all empty promises and not enough action. How will Toyota do any better if they are now faced with even higher manufacting costs and expenditures from recalls and legal fees?

    Unless.

They drastically reduce product lines, spend vast portion of their $30 billion savings to reinvent themselves, and start all over again from the scratch. If they think they can get away with all these cheap talks, think again.

  • I am convinced that Toyota Motor Corporation will do everything in its power to correct the defects in it's vehicles. I have worked for Toyota/Lexus/Scion dealers, and know that they value customers above all else. I do believe though when you are a corporation that shareholders place pressure on you to "maximize profits" at the expense of maximum quality. Mr. Toyoda is proud of his company and will do what's needed. His honor comes from his family's company.

  • I'm afraid if his sincerity was delivered through translation. He sounds like really humble and seems to try to work really hard for his customers and employees to gain back confidence in cars which bear his name.

  • Our Congress is retarded!!!!

  • @marioskaf and so are the voters who listen to whatevers told to them.

  • I think ( toyota ) should give a 100k warantee with every car ( bumber to bumper ) and if a part is defective ( from the factory ) and ( pay for rental car till the car is fixed ) there are too many cars that need major repairs before 100k miles. this will force toyota and the others to make better cars ( from day 1 ) go back to the year ( 2000 ) ( toyota corolla ) it was well made.( from 2001 till 2010 the car get less quality )

    I owned a ( 2000) and driven a 2003,2010 and did not buy.

  • @JOHN146BIBLE the problem with warranty on cheaper cars is that the service price would cost more than the actual car in years lol.

  • they do jack ass but you have to pay just a littlr more.

  • GO TOYOTA GOOOOOO!!!

  • Moving forward -- whether you like it or not!

    Lolz

  • I believe alot of people do understand what it takes for a man of his stature and position to put himself in the public eye like this especially considering the culture in wich he comes from. He could have set a representative like every other company would have but he did not. I have so much respect for him doing this he is a honorable man.

  • @kunafoot - I agree, because the Japanese take honor seriously. Also liked with Larry asked him about his Grandfather and what his ancestor would think about this event. I think they still consider their ancestors highly.
