@prammaven It is a "take" on the popular scene from the original film. I realize what you say is true. I felt "dramatic parody" best described the piece even though I was taking some liberty with the definition of parody.

I really don't get it, aren't domestic partners and gay partners considered family members in the US? Is that the point of this? That's ridiculous, and they call themselfs the most "advanced" society in the world? Does this really happen in america? I find it hard to believe, seriously.
