This proves nothing about HP except about how a "Failover" works.
Basically, if you have 2 computers running in sync, and the primary fails, the secondary takes over. Big shit. Failover times means nothing either. The reason linux takes the longest to boot up, is because it performs kernel checks unlike other OS systems which just skip them.
Also, the 'bullet' test was bogus since it didn't hit anything like a hard drive, psu, board, processor. So nothing was bothered.
I just got 5 blades with chassis replaced by HP, constant hang. We finally talked with HP and the admit it it bug. We replaced five c7000 chassis and all blades inside.
EVA storage with 12TB failed after 2 weeks working.
2x DL380 G5 new ones came DOA, on old i had disc failure after 3-4 months, i had to changed all hdd's.
HP low cost AIO storage 3TB has 25MB/sec transfer rate, came from service same thing.
We're now switching to IBM and all of our customers.. HP sucks
@werehyenataur Give me one os better NonStop (The Big Blue Whale might have something similar) for real business critical systems. Not just IT mgrs idiots sandboxes. Lives at stake applications on given OS. I'd rather fly or be under sedation for on operation under any "old school" OS than any "open source". Wwho really believes that x86 + VmWare is the same as Mission Critical, I have tons of stories how you x86 boys failed it BAD!
@MrMaukka10 Did I say Boys? Girls too. But anyway - cocky ignorant "Know it all" youngsters. I love to see your stool being burned when your availability, performance and DRP failed on x86 (any OS). Have fun....Business down for 5 days.... Anybody care how cheap it was?
Gee....y blow everything away???JUST NEED IT TO PULL THE PLUG!!!!!!! DUHHHHH

Today, those things can be done in microseconds as well :-P

I would worry more about the people working at my data center rather than having all systems up and running again if it blew up.

also, all the OS's tested, except Windows, were Unix.
The "Linux" had a biased result. Did you see how much was active on that box compared to others?
My "Linux" box can start 2 seconds flat, at its fastest.

The first fish tank was to show that the bullet was actually fired in real time.
The fish during the explosion are there for the comedy factor.
The whole commercial was over the top and it was just an extra, also showing the redundancy... even a redundant fish tank.
Who says it always has to be serious boring commercial?

Right . . . what is the deal with the fish?
