@Pyroblazer You are right that the point of this video is to suggest an alternative to cut flowers, one that is being sold by the people who produced the video. That doesn't mean that it isn't true. The cut flower industry is only one of many industries that move production away from the USA to 3rd world countries where workers have no choice but to go along with unfair labor practices and wide scale damage to the environment (as an added bonus, their families have to live in polluted area)

Have you ever noticed how cut flowers don't smell anymore? I can't remember taking a big deep whiff of flowers in a vase and getting a decent smell. I'm a live plant person because I like to see with nose. Viva el stinky!

Can you remember the last time a rose smelt like a rose. That rich, perfume aroma and those huge, glorious blooms and rich deep colours. They don't anymore. You have those long stemmed chemicalised sanitized corpses that seem to stiffen rather than smile, and there is never a vase that looks right to put them in. What do you do? You cut the long stem. It's sad really. This is love? I might do a response on roses. Blessings +^+^+

I like the idea of flowers being alive when they arrive. Its bad enugh they wer sold and sent from their country, manhandled and leered at by people who dry flowers the whole way... only to die at the doorstep with a dramatic "This is hell!"

Living plants are just better.
