Except for saying: "G######!" at 3:49, I have to admit Jack Nicholson, the music, and shelly duvall are impressive. They should have had a Tornado roaring in the background to make it ALOT scarier. Ironically, in the movie: 'Twister' the 'Shining' movie is playing while an F4 Tornado hits the drive inn theater in Oklahoma and it was during the 'here's johnny' scene. Why didnt the makers of 'Twister' make the F4 hit the drive inn while the blood door scene is playing?!

Jack is just nuts in this movie. I love it. It's the role of his life. No one could have done this better than him! I like how the whole scene is shot too, slowly building suspense; the way the camera moves. They just don't make films like this any more.

Diese Szene unter der Regie von Stanley Kubrick zu spielen, muss eine Tortur für die Schauspieler gewesen sein, es ist glaube ich bekannt, was für ein Perfektionist Kubrick war.

Alleine die Szene im Bad mit der Axt wurde mehr als 100(!) mal gedreht, weil es ihm nicht gepasst bzw. gefallen hat.
