  • The "Pancho Villa Orchestra"? Haha! (For those ignoring it, Pancho Villa is the same as Pancho López..)

  • PJ, a great tune and group. Wonder if any of this group ended up in The Five Keys

(Rudy & Bernie West and Raphel & Ripley Ingram) who are from Newport News?

  • I believe there was some swapping between this group and The Five Keys.

  • @lakewoodil The Chateaus"Darling,Je Vous Aime Beaucoup" became the new 5 Keys with Rudy on lead. I think it was after they left King records. If you never heard The 5 Keys King stuff, check it out.

  • NICE!

  • Fantastic Doo-Wop PJ :))

  • You might be talking about You Do Something To Me (which is the flip of this) backed with What's Wrong. I believe that was issued in 1989 and I don't think it has the shadow print font

  • You're welcome

  • very nice & very kool!

  • Thanks Cris

  • I believe Jocko Henderson owned this label along with Main Line. The Avalons were best known for Heart's Desire on Unart.

  • Yes. Jocko and a man named Barry Golder owned the Casino label. Heart's Desire was recorded for Casino and also featured Pancho Villa's Band, but it was sold to Unart before they even had an opportunity to issue it themselves. I think they rushed it because there was another version of the song circulating that they had recorded while touring Canada.

  • Aaaaahhh....this is really good! Thank you PJ!
