  • some sweet info here

  • 10 Sefirots on the Tree of Life. The sum of all the values on the Sefirots (1-10) is 40. Mem has the value of 40. Mem can symbolize woman but can also symbolize the development of a being in infinite space limited only to the nature of the being. (Esoterically).

  • this makes me wanna be a mathmetician

  • @Kingopersia diddo, I wanna ba either a mathmetician or a phyiscst. I like being a nerd.

  • But I doubt the value of PI is "top secret" or that that is the reason the arabs are not able to make weapons, or cars, themselves. Money makes persons lazy.

They think, why build when you can buy? More to the point, it may be that there is a mathematical algorithm, allowing anybody with enough paper and pencil to calculate PI to how many ever decimal places they choose to. That said, PI is exactly equal to the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. PI=C/d... C=PI*(2r).

  • Given that all machine-based industry is founded upon a basic technology :

the ability to make to ball-bearings is "top secret" info. that the industrial elite

withholds from many nations. It is a reason why Arab countries, rich in black

oil (the blood of the machines) buy their weapons from Americans and Europeans,

because they do not know how to make ball-bearings, those little metal shperes which help reduce friction. Or so I have read. Hence, the true value of PI may be

    "top secret".

  • This was a really nice movie, but the ending was kind of horrifying.

I thought he was having a bad dream, but the other guy who I saw this

movie with, said, No, he really did that. It is called a lobotomy. And I was

like, No, because that is not possible. I still do not understand the ending,

but it does remind now of another movie, Wolverine (hugh jackman).

  • aronofsky, such a great director!

  • LOL, Where do they think old Fibi discovered this? Precisely by delving into the writings and forbidden texts that were hidden from the common people by the Catholic church at the time. (namely) Kabbalah. We see evidence of this kind of authoratative claims to 'so called' origional ideas all through European history, both Medieval and during the Renaissance. Thieves of wisdom claiming themselves as briliant. Kind of disturbing. Dont mess around. Go to the soarce. JUDAISM. (RABBINICAL)

  • does someone know, was this film shot in academy ratio?

  • As much as I hate math, and the really complicated shit it pulls on me, this film has a really good mathmatical point

  • esta super chingona esta movie

  • @TalalZD you missed a number there.

  • This asshole is taking ad money for someone else's work?

  • @kanshou welcome to the internet.

  • @kanshou it's called content ID, noob

  • This film was the DEFINITION of epic

  • the ratio between our total height and the distance from our belly button to our feet is the golden ratio or beta w/e he calls it mind blown??

  • maybe pi is just one whole pattern maybe not just sayin but there must be a pattern

  • LLLLLLLLLLOOOooooooovvvvvvveee this movie and the way the editing is all set to the beat of the music!!!i!!!

  • Profound.

  • lol me and my friends say pi+pi= more pie

  • 0:01 those are boobies.

  • doesn't he mean phi, not theta?

  • @jennyreineck Yeah that number is actually called phi.

  • @jennyreineck he lied

  • @jennyreineck And I'm pretty sure that the spiral shouldn't look like that..

  • Mindfuck.

  • really amazing..but could it be? Tell me - does anyone know that abou Tora? not sure it´s a true :-))) simply Aronofsky fiction..and grrreeeat Clint Masell too

  • really amazing..but could it be? Tell me - does anyone knows this abou Tora? I´m not sure it´s a true :-))) simply Aronofsky fiction..and grrreeeat Clint Masell too

  • god i love this movie

  • Smoke is fractal

  • gah that's right.. 233/144 is 1.618..

  • People saying the movie is awesome, yes, true. But the actor is very nice too :(

  • What's the issue with allowing embedding? Huh??

  • wait a second.....isn't the golden ratio phi??? I never saw it represented by theta....

  • @andreasox23 Why i think they used alot of dnb since its drums are derived from the golden ratio drum loop from the amen brothers. (the amen break)

  • @freetinnies

I did not know this, mind = blown.

  • @andreasox23

They are both circles with lines through them what's the difference?

  • @givebeesachance

lol one line is horizontal and one is vertical, that's the difference.

  • @andreasox23

Phi is the value 1.618...(golden ratio)

He kind of misses the point here, i think for simplicity of the film, would kind of drag on to explain

also he says it "approaches" theta, asymptotically?

theta is used alot in math as a symbol for anything (like x)

but i dont get how a single value could be used for a function like that on a graph...

  • @seeriktus The "θ" they're talking about in the movie is this one... /wiki/Logarithmic_spiral The "θ" reference is wrong though cause it can't be "approached" as it isn't a constant number. From the Fibonatcci sequence, you get to the golden ratio (φ) like you said. But you get to the "θ" by crating blocks that connect to each other with fibonacci's value as their edges. (/wiki/File:FibonacciBlocks.svg)

  • chidisimo cabrones!!!

  • ..Huh ?

  • This is my favorite scene in the film; absolutely fascinatiing and well played by both actors, and brilliantly directed by Aranovsky. Pi was made on a shoestring budget.

  • @sabbathcrazy Its the Japanese game “GO”

    Check Wikipedia

  • @sabbathcrazy It's called Go

  • Они как будто мир открыли людям, итак понятно что весь мир построен на математике, в фильме все одно и тоже: у человека не в порядке с головой, евреи, спецслужбы

  • THe beeping noise of the crosswalks so blind people can get across the street.

  • Funny he says "theta" instead of "phi".

Phi would have been correct, but I think the line says "theta" as a symbol foreshadowing death or approaching death. Theta = thanatos, death.

  • love the scissor soundtrack

  • Any way to get rid of the obnoxious ad that covers the screen and one can't close out?

  • Chuck Norris knows the last digit of pi.

  • The religious guy who works in numbers would know who Fibonacci is. I guess that's just for the opportunity to explain it to the audience of the movie.

  • who would have thought of making a movie about math. brilliant.

  • Why the Tora guy written Final Mem (600) not Mem (40)... that would be 601 for mother. Keep science pure Matrix'ators! Later Gators...

  • besides which anyway, ur soul is ur soul. u won't have a different soul if u exist in another parallel timeline or whatever anyway, u'll be the same person as u r in this one. so some cunt who is nothing like u, saying they are an alternate you etc - complete lies. can't happen. the nature of a person does not change, they r who they r and that's it. purposely changing urself is just built-upon what exists already.

  • btw i'm not pushing some hidden notion - this isn't me verifying what multi-channels-stalker claims insanely, using concepts like parallel timelines to try to say it is me in them etc.

i've always been into this subject, it's nothing to do with that cunts lies and abuse.

if u try to change time that's passed, is like changing a realtime program by altering the code that has been compiled already. some might take, depending on dependant variables yet to be processed etc.

  • @randomlaughingman I agree with many things you say, but not everything.

Science is always evolving. We used to think the earth was flat. Now we think it's globe shaped. What if time travel "has been" invented in the future? You wouldn't notice, since the results of altering the past would be your reality.

I'm not arguing whether current science is right or wrong, I'm just saying that -always keep an open mind. The truth is: We don't know.

  • @Prophanicus - no, some people in Europe spread a lie that a majority thought the Earth was flat, so first of all that has never been true. it's just part of a scam that made up an inception date for when the 'new world' was discovered, when really people had been going there since the continents broke apart.

plenty of civilisations knew of the outer planets before their more recent rediscovery from within the lie-reality.

  • @Prophanicus - logically, time-travel if it ever exists then technically exists in all time then. cause as soon as it can be done, then potentially any time is accessible from that point.

of course, first - ur talking about technology, which only mimics what people can do with their naked bodies. eg a phone just replaces natural psychic stuff, which is decayed thru neglect and no-proper-info / training, as it isn't part of the plan of those who control the big-lie of fake-history.

  • @randomlaughingman

"of course, first - ur talking about technology, which only mimics what people can do with their naked bodies. eg a phone just replaces natural psychic stuff, , which is decayed thru neglect and no-proper-info / training"

Oh and so an aeroplane replaces our ability to fly??

Do you have Superman's number, please? I'd like some flying info/training. Thanks.

(And since when were "psychics" anything other than proven frauds?)

  • @Prophanicus - also, time-travel in terms of altering events is a concept that exists only in context of the big-lie view of history. it assumes that eg recorded accounts of what took place are a) accurate and actually played out that way and b) mention all relevant events that are tied to another event (the one u want to alter), which of course they do not do! as it doesn't work that way. u'd never use accounts of history to get data, they're all biased and missing info.

  • @Prophanicus - next, time-travel isn't actually any different from space travel. initially, this constructs co-ords (any spacetime) are accessible from outside it, we only went inside it to experience the created universe/s. all this is is a big lie, part of the torus (if u like, as many consider this universe/s to be viewable / modellable as a torus, which makes sense) is sectioned off by the big-lie, and they keep it kind of ignorant of the whole thing its actually part of.

  • @Prophanicus - u don't start at the place u want to start. u can't go on assumptions - u have to think of this from outside it. the thing about time-travel is that it encompasses all the pretend-unknowns of the big-lie -

the soul. reincarnation. what consciousness actually is. what the universe actually is. why they were made / generated and why anything capable of experiencing them exists.

so some people can time-travel, but they don't see what they're unravelling, it only appears to work ok.

  • @Prophanicus - the 'we don't know' isn't true. if u check it properly, then all will agree that at some point 'in the past' someone/s began to do things wrong, and this went wrong in general. some call it the fall, it's not important what its called.

the point is that it makes no sense to do science by ignoring all the facts that were known already. all that work, ruined - look at the state of nature everywhere. they've built a nightmare by ignoring intuition, feelings, 50% of reality at least.

  • @Prophanicus - look, the science ur meaning is only 'one half' of the brain, if u like. it's right-eye-of-horus stuff. if used without the left-eye-of-horus stuff, then it comes out wrong, as it would be as wrong to only use intuition / feelings -

the difference is that, it's perfectly safe to have a universe or world where inhabitants are all feeling-intuition only, as none will be evil, so everyone is ok. if u only use the other half, then it fucks it all up and makes a nightmare reality.

  • This is one of the only DVD's I own. Love it. NOM NOM NOM

  • Great film!! Believe it, or not, this film has lots of truth to it. This is one of the rare ingeniouse films.

  • WOW!

  • This movie is so epic! This is one of my favorite scenes :D

  • lenny is the greatest jewish man period

  • 144 into 233

  • Check out the first shot of this clip: Max is doodling on the newspaper, specifically, curves and inscribed circles. To many ancients, it was considered a sign of madness to try and "Square the Circle," an impossibility using plane geometry.

  • If you cannot find an exact number of 'pi', does that mean there is no regular point in universe, that is; how to observe something that doesnt end? How to move in this universe? This code they are talking about - is this our fourth dimention; our rational thought?

  • @larsiemannen You are wrong... Our fourth dimention is Time, not the number Pi.

  • @Herrsharp time is not a dimension.., It is only perceived by the observer as something, but yet it is none existent. there for it is a change of event that gives us the illusion of something but yet it cant be proven nor grasped. No one can tell you what time is, or how it works because it is a cause and effect sequence of events witch we have given a name (time) but yet it is space that creates it.

  • @jaalul Thank you for the information.

  • @jaalul - time is space moving. if no time passes, then all molecules atoms particles waves are all frozen at the co-ordinates / space they are at. time is changes, hence why The Oracle is the book of changes (I Ching). what i mean is it's no more an illusion than space is.

time has nothing to do with aging, that is just in dna programming, same as that film blade runner. it does have to do with lifespans, but that is different.

  • @jaalul - personally i think people get confused with Einstein's time as 4D, and the concept of 4D as the astral. but it's the same thing anyway - when anyone says they, eg, remote view / astral project to 4D and can see all things in 3D at the same time, it's cause they are looking at 3D the same way as if u looked at a cube from 4D, then u see the hypercube - ie, all of its sides at the same time.

& it doesn't mean no parallel timelines, cause there's 'what happened' and that's it -

  • ie - all that leads up to the way space is arranged now, at any moment, that all took place in the specific ways it did, and not in any other ways.

can't change how things unfolded to the now, what happened is what happened.

but i'm just meaning that that being the case doesn't mean there's no 'alternate' versions of 'things that took place' cause there still could be, and they could still interlace or interfere with here, like with crosstalk or any such concept.

  • I'm bored of creepy shit I'm watching American Dad.

  • Wrong, Aleph (A) does equal 1. However, later in the movie it's definitely a stretch to say that the true name of G-d is a 216 letter word that also equals 216 digits. But there is actually a form of Gematria that would make this possible as well.

  • he's wrong in hebrew gematria A=6....and all the rest are wrong.....216 is the calculated mark of the beast

    6x6x6=216

    144,000/666=216.216.216.216

  • @chrisn9ne 216.216.216.216 IP of the devil :) I looked it up, it's in range of New Edge Networks, Vancouver, USA. does not respond to ping, though.

  • h t t p : / / megauploadmovies . blog . com /2009/09/21/pi-1998-dvdrip-x264-300mb-vin/

  • is the ending scene possible?

drilling your braining wivout anty pain or passing out

    dude...

I know he didnt do the whole brain but the brain is really sensitive

    cud paralise him or somthing..

  • @nickisaws0me i cant remember when exactly but some time ago they used to do that to release pressure on the brain to get rid of headaches and other things. they still do it today yet most likely not as crude

  • Damnit... that was merely a simbolism... You didin't get the message obviously...

  • There is a strong resemblance between the last shots here and DeNiro's cafe scene in Taxi Driver.

  • such a great film

  • Reseach/read up on the Kabbalah and the tree of life, the zodiac, and astrology and the hebrew alphabet coding of it, it's disgustingly complicated.

  • @Jahan917

nahh, i made it easy, see my videos.

  • Do I have to repeat my self?...DOES ANYONE HERE SPEAK HEBREW?

  • yes

    what do you need?

  • @199tinkerbell I speak hebrew

  • Comment removed

  • Just saw this, can't stop thinking about it, especially the ending.

  • in the ending he just gives up because otherwise his head pain would had killed him

and it's not what makes ppl think the most atm..

most of people surrend to such complex questions, but it's not the surrending that makes them think ~~

  • This film was AMAZING!

  • I like how he admits, "That's kind of interesting." At first he's skeptical, but he has to admit that he is intrigued by the Torah code. Good film. Captures the paranoia and mania of a mathematical genius.

  • @fishman017 I am actually more of a grafic and language person, and I still can totallly feel into it. when it starts to create connection between graphics, geometric, patterns in the dream, I ended up at studieng numerology and the psychological issues of math-geni . the thing is , all language, as seen at deaf isolated children seems to be something more natural, emerging from our genetic code. since hebrew is based on numbers, things easily start to make "sense"...

  • @fishman017 quite so. This is what "A Beautiful Mind" could have been if Ron Howard hadn't sugar coated the madness.

  • "This number approaches theta..."

    No, PHI, you moron, PHI!!!

And gee, thank the film industry for stereotyping mathematicians.

  • is there anyone hollywood doest stereotype ?

  • @dakurv

    lol!

  • blummin maths. this did actually blow me away when I saw it. Wikipedia'd it as well to make sure the movie wasnt makin it up and its all there. Theres people, even now, studying it. I do think that if you look hard enough you could get many things though.

ie. mother and father = 'child.' but not 'baby.' same as woman and man don't = 'child' Still cool though

  • of course, what did you exspect, a fairlytale?

  • If you like these concepts, do a search on "Marko Rodin" - Vortex based mathematics!

  • Njoi dis Trip..! ***** Gr8 Vid

  • Mann, I know this is gonna sound like I'm a junkie (which I'm not), but those last seconds of this clip must be really insane to watch if you're under the effect of pot

  • so your a junkie if you smoke pot? shit man i have to go to rehab :p

  • good one, japi ^^

  • they showed this in math today (Pi day, 3/14/09) it blew my mind

  • This is really interesting. I never knew this vid is part of a movie. Hebrew numeric value of letters in it self is interesting, yet there should be a caution as not to abuse them for the purpose of magic. For His thoughts are not our thoughts (Is.55:8).

  • the fibinacci sequence A.K.A the golden ratio (the pattern in nature and on the graph in the movie) never ends, and all your body parts are accociated with it. Your arm/your hand=3/2. your upper lip/your front teeth=3/2. Your lip from your nose/your chin from your nose, all of it is 3/2, think about it. . . .

  • I do infact think abt it; the creation according to Their image & likeness (~_^)

  • Your sea shell..if i may, could it be a type of exponent. similar to cellular mitosis. a rate varied by nutritional intake. or some other physics....

  • what do you mean?

  • Thermodynamics and molecular kinetics, rate laws and laws of averages. If the interactions of things at a certain temp produce statistical outcomes then improbability lim goes to zero. everything is predictable. at predictable rates....that's what fib # is

  • sorry, im a little drunk and nonsensical...but can i just say that this universe is SOOOOO AMAZING

  • Id of asked the jewish guy about the 8 missing letters........

  • Hes drawing an owl funny hmm

  • Wow this video was listed as your 144rd favorite video :)

  • ANSWER TO NUMBER 12 IS PROTEIN!!!!!!

  • TEST TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!

  • LOL

  • hey i love math! what a great video this is! what a beautiful day to study ideas and innovations

  • math is everywhere just as imagination is infinite... patterns are for short-term mentalities... wuzzes

  • 2.38

It is also in the bedside lamp in the children's bedroom; the Tiffany lamp has the same fibinacchi patern imitating nature.

    .

This is in the Walt Disney movie 'Mary Poppins'.

    Cheers.

    from,

    del-boy.

  • the golden ratio is like pi, it can never end or repeat

  • Hi wes, Thanks for your comment; have you seen the movie scene? . It is true; the thing you said is everywhere. . I quit seeing my friend the math professor, because she was everywhere all the time too. . I think though that things that a language describe are typically everywhere -everywhere that you can use the language to describe anything and everything. . cheers. from, del-boy.
  • אב + אם = ילד

  • Ancient Hebrews used the alphabet as their numerical as well as there lettering system, therefor, each letter was assigned a numerical value. For example the Hebrew "A," aleph, is equal to one, while "B," bet, is equal to two and so on. Taking this into consideration, we can then convert the entire Torah into a large string of numbers. When these numbers are analyzed, patterns emerge ...

Awesome movie by the way :) Loved the music too !

  • I think this is right before he drills a hole in his head....

  • lol, yea that part is sick.

  • Reality

  • weird

  • What's this from?

  • Scene from the movie "Pi".

  • beautiful...

  • It's just Pythagoreanism. Platonism. It's mystical rubbish. To how many decimal places does nature calculate pi when it makes a bubble of sea foam? That's an absurd question.

They've got it backwards. Numbers don't give rise to reality. Instead, reality is described by mathematical models that we clever chimps have devised. Never confuse your models for reality. Aristotle was right. Plato and pythagoras were living in cloud-cuckoo land.

  • I study advance mathematics as an economics major and I have to agree with you, especially the Aristotle comment as we. Nevertheless, this a great movie that influenced me to pursue mathematics.

  • pretty wierd

  • wow, polar graphs are fun fun fun!

  • That was amazing.

  • I fucking love that movie

  • Can somebody ups the scene that plays Angel by Massive Attack?

    Thanks

  • That was pretty cool.

  • I LOVE this scene! Very awesome.

  • Thx for posting this.
