The purpose of the church pulpit is for teaching the revelation of the scriptures to the believer in an expository verse by verse method. I say let them debate but be careful not to pull out scriptures to fit your presuppositions. Find unity in the essential Christian doctrines but don' get legalistic about the non essential doctrines of scripture.

If Jesus's mission was really to save every single person on earth, then He failed miserably because there are many who reject Him. If instead, Jesus came to save His sheep, i.e. his elect chosen before the foundations of the world, then Jesus fulfilled His mission perfectly.

I suggest you closely examine your theology. It may be logically flawed. Blessings.

@ginsumaster The Elect,Christ's bride,are going to be raised at His second coming( some will be alive at that time,so will not taste death!).The Elect will reign with Christ for a millenium.The second resurrection is for ALL Adam's children,who will be judged according to their disobedience and rejection of Christ,and will be thrown in the lake of fire to be purified,including fallen angels(it's not going to be nice!).They will come out from there in white garments,made righteous! @ginsumaster Jesus Christ qouted scripture all the time and He did not have to specify where it was written because He expected them to know Scripture, which they did!! You read your bible and you will know EVERYTHING I am talking about is in the Scriptures!!The story of Lazarus and the rich man is a parable regarding the Israelites and the Gentiles This is the only parable that Jesus did not explain. He was talking to the Israelites and He knew that for once, they understood Him!!

1.As chosen people, the Israelites(THE RICH MAN), by virtue of being God's SPECIAL nation, were a BLESSED( RICH) nation and God did miracles for them and fought battles for them.

2.GENTILES(POOR MAN) on the other hand did not even know there was a God, except superstition and their pagan gods who could not even speak or do anything for them.So the Israelites were blessed and enjoyed all the blessing that god endowed them with.

@ginsumaster When Christ came to His OWN, the Israelites, and preached to them the Gospel(SALVATION IS OF JEWS!), they rejected Him! He came to His own SPECIALLY nation, but His own could not recognise Him!! Even though they read Scriptures and the Scriptures were talking of Him, the One who took them out of Egypt, fought their battles, blessed them and made them rich! He was with them in the wilderness!! They rejected Jesus and salvation so now God has rejected them and turned to the Gentiles.

You have to seek, look, search and dig to find it! A Gentile woman asked the discilpes, and ultimately Jesus to heal her child.Jesus said it was not good for the CHILDREN'S(ISRAELITES bread to be cast to DOGS(GENTILES)!!

The Gentiles are blessed with Salvation,while the Israelites are missing out, even to provoke them to JEALOUSY!!The Gentiles are now RICH and because of their faith are in Father Abraham's bosom( Abraham's faith),and are consoled through salvation,the Gospel of Jesus Christ,while the Israelite are in darkness because they have rejected Salvation! He did NOT mean the PHYSICAL Israelites only, even though salvation belonged to them first!!ALL humanity is the ISRAEL of God! @ginsumaster Yes Bereans SEARCHED the scriptures for themselves.They did not beg PAUL to give them scriptures,but went and SEARCHED.Paul taught them what was REVEALED to him by the Spirit of Jesus, and like Jesus he did not have a bible study with them!They went and SEARCHED THE SCRIPTURES THEMSELVES TO FIND IF THESE THINGS BE SO.What I am sharing with you is in the scriptures,from Genesis through to Revelation, REVEALED to those who have an eye to see and an ear to hear! I know exactly where you are qouting from,because I SEARCH the scriptures.The Pharises and the Scribes were always against what Jesus taught.These were the people who were always seen in the Synagogues with BIG SCROLLS,but when Jesus( including His disciples,especially Paul) revealed the word in the very scrolls to them, He was mocked and they missed it.
