I'm sure about a million people have already asked this but...how did you do this? Not technically, but more simply, where did you place the 3D mic? Inside the shoe? Follow the brush? Mock shoe form just do get the sound?

I think this is an incredibly relaxing video. I don't really understand some of the negativity towards this. To be frank, if you personally are not enjoying the videos this person is making then you really don't watch nor leave rude comments. Remember, ASMR is something that is varied for individual taste. What may sound non-relaxing to you could be sanctuary for someone else. So please don't leave nasty comments and ruin it for the rest of us. Or the person who took the time to make the videos.

i completely disagree with @rofyle - i LOVE your 3D videos! i find them so relaxing and this is in fact the only video i've actually fallen asleep to. thank you so much for making it. i'd like to add that it's brilliant that you've gone to the effort of making a 2D and 3D version of this and maybe @Elosization could just watch the 2D version and avoid the videos that s/he doesn't like?

I always write in the title if it's a 3D video, so it is easy to just avoid the videos that don't appeal. Thanks for the support, and hope this knocks you out again sometime! :)

@rofyle That's ok, please just avoid the 3D ones :) I should also add that while this channel is predominantely for ASMR, the real 'purpose' is in general just a 'sound sculpture' channel, with different experiments in sound.

What one person finds soothing/relaxing/theraputic, may well be a sound hell to someone else, and vice versa. I can't please everyone. I guess it's a trial and error thing; for me to see what sounds I like making, and for others to see what works best for themselves.

I listen to this surprisingly often and not just when I sit back, close my eyes and relax (like I do with most of these videos, especially when I have seen them before). I actually keep this playing in the background while browsing the web as it just calms me and keeps my ears entertained (sometimes I just don't feel like listening to music but I also kinda hate total silence) so I guess this DID become one of my favorites now, surprisingly.

@KUR1SU Yes, I also find myself doing this with other people's videos - leaving them running in the background while I'm working on something else. I find it quite strange that the same video, at different times of the day or different states of 'mind' can trigger ASMR at one particular time and at others be used as a droning out of everything else. A kind of selective hearing. Weird. Thanks again!

@efalhe I don't think it's done just using software. As far as I know there are special microphones for binaural recordings. Could be wrong, though.

@efalhe i believe you actually use two separate microphones. one records to the left channel and the other to the right so if the sound is closer to the left channel mic you hear more in you left ear

But with most other videos, when they appear in my subscription box I just try to remember to check them out within the next few days or so, but the 3D ones I always watch as soon as I can. So they definitely get me the most excited. Still, I wouldn't lose interest in your videos if you wouldn't post any 3D ones anymore. I would be sad, but I'd still be coming back for more.

@SOUNDsculptures Well, I suppose if some other people REALLY have a problem with the 3D or non-3D ones, you could try to have 2 additional YouTube accounts - one exclusive to your 3D audios and one exclusive to the non-3D ones - while still keeping this one for a collection of all of them. That way no one would be annoyed because of the wrong videos showing up in their subscriptions. Personally, I'd still just stay with this account, though.
