A secret about oil control blotting sheets... their made from the same paper they put on toilet seats to protect them. they just have a bit of corn starch or baking powder on them... I laugh every time I think of that.

i have THE oiliest skin EVER....i usually use the clearasil oil absorbing sheets before i put my make-up on.....im about to buy the de-slick in a tube. do you still reccomend using the sheets before the gel? or just the gel? Thanks!!!

Thanks for the reviews. Does the dry shampoo dry you hair out? oh yeah, paint pots crease on me too! Darn oily skin. one more question. as soon as I put make up on my chin where I have a few acne scars, it disppears or seems to fade so quick, is this because of oily skin?

@HummingBirdBeauty thanks ! i have tried BE foundation primer in the original and oil control. the origial make my oil worst : ( and the oil control wasnt strong enough. so for me they didnt work out but i know many people who swear by them...i like UD better!!!!!

Have you ever heard of using milk of magnesia on your face for oil? I got the urban decay all nighter spray and it works just okay unless i use a ton of it during each use...but someone told me milk of magnesia works well for oily skin...i guess you just rub it all over your face?lol but i heard its amazing to stop oil. I havent tried it yet...any thoughts on it? would you consider trying it out?

i have a sample size of id bare minerals in med beige. is that the same shade i should use if i want to buy the matte foundation? do i need the veil too? what is the veil purpose? do i need to prime for the powder to stick to my face? sorry 4 all the questions! thanks!

@pugandspencer1 the shades are the same in matte and orginal the diffrence is the fomrmula not the color. the veil is a good trnaslucent powder to touch up with during the day so if you get a shine i would say yes. no you dont need to prime for it to stick. it looks and feels like a powder when first applyed but when you buff it on it heats up to your skin and turns into a creme so it will stick itself. haha and no ask away ! thats what im here for !!!

Hey girl, I have the same skin as you! Do you ever get cakey during the day? If so, how do you deal with it?

@sofiehaniff hey ! no it dosnt...bare minerals wont ever cake on you if you are wearing the correct shade. but i do notice my pores through out the day will stand out ALOT so i just use my compact and touch up with mineral veil ( translucent powder ) and that makes them dissapear again....what are you using on your face that gets cakey ...? it might be a certain item i know is or it could be what you are using together....let me know!!

@beeisforbeeauty I only use liquid foundation (MAC, Revlon) no matter how much I moisturize, i get cakey & oily through out the day. My foundation wears off and looks cakey. I even use the MAC prep & prime.

@sofiehaniff liquid clogs pores. this causes that cakey look. liquid no matter what type is heavy and sits on the skin and works its way into the pores. liquid also is made of oils, if you are oily the luqiud make up that has oils in it will add to the oil you already use. i would also use a matting gel instead of moisterizer during the day. moisterize at night. i would switch to a mineral make up.
