But even then, consider for a fact it was Sid's first time attempting any sort of aerial move, and wrestling boots are notoriously strange in how the footing works (just watch someone try to run extended lengths in them), so doing even that little thing was very dangerous for a guy with his lack of experience. Anyone who claims this is a 'fake injury'. is ridiculous. Sid legitimately suffered a compound fracture, and  had two metal rods inserted into his leg. He also was not able to work for almost 2 years.

Sid also suffered a legit injury in the early 90's when he punctured his lung.
