People are smarter than they have ever been. They are staying in school, going to college. Like you said years ago no one would second guess the bible. People are questioning things now. i do prefer to be a free thinker. I think religion is mostly lies, a story meant to control the population. What about all the other Gods that came before Jesus, do you think the OT is relevant or just the NT? Do you think the earth is 6,000 years old? God made the earth in 3 days and everything else in the universe in one day? I just ind religion to be a form of control, I find the belief in End Times to be very scary, as these beliefs will influence peoples judgments.

Do you believe that the earth is 6,000 years old? Adam and Eve or are those things you cannot take literally, where do you stand? Is it that the bible is the true word of your god? Do you think those other books that were considered holy at the time but did not make the "bible" are not the word o god - as chosen by man? I just don't get it, is it because it makes you feel better to think there is a heaven and a hell? Do you fear hell? Do you think I will go there?

If you read the bible maybe you could answer some of your own questions. The Bible is Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth, a book of lessons, to guide us, not control us. You just have to answer the last one by yourself, and hey if the 'Christians' are wrong, you won't burn in hell, however, I'm sure its not such a pleasant thought to think about the possibility that YOU are wrong. Think hard on it, and maybe look outside your window and ask, can you paint a painting without an artist?

Freedom is a two way street, God gave us the freedom to choose. The bible is not for bible-thumping, a book full of lessons, right and wrong, given to guide us, not control us. OT,God couldn't look at sin,NT he sent Jesus and everything changed. Not about perfection, just the relationship with your intelligent creator, Before I go and PRAY that my Lord in heaven smites your head with his wonders and rips your eyes open to see. The bible is the only book people have tried to destroy in history.
