@roscopico70 size 1 is prob. the same as 4/4 - which is a full size violin. I started playing violin too with a guitar background.. you can pick up a decent beginning violin for 250 dollars ..
I've never heard of size 1! I live in the UK and we only have quarter, half, and three quarter sizes for children and full size for adults.
To check your violin is the correct size, hold it under your chin and you should be able to just get your hand around the scroll. Your fingers should curl over the top of the scroll. If your arm is longer than this, then I suggest you need the next size up!
Hi Jennie-Good fiddle playing. Can you suggest or twll me where you got your backing tracks?? I usually play "freelance" if you well with what ever comes into my head, but I think I might expand a little if I had some decent backround. Thanks in advance and keep up the good work.
