  • It is the "standing wave" set up by the resonant frequency of the glass and the tone being the same. This is NOT new in fact it is ancient knowledge. In the bible the tone of the horns brought down the walls of Jericho, same principle,

  • In 1940 the Tocoma bridge had a standing wave by the wind vibrating the cables. Take a look. :

  • Solders marching over bridges caused a standing wave that collapsed bridges. Tesla's earth quake machine in 1800's swayed a building with tone. Buddist monks moved boulders with sound, Look up coral castle, same thing

  • 2:09 holy shit that's hard to sing.. xD

  • If I were cornered in a room, and my life consisted of people going "EEEEE" at me all day everyday...I would just fuck my life...That poor glass...

  • But you must have a Weirding Module!!!

  • Why amplifiers??? Isn't resonance by nature sort of amplification?

Two keys are important for braking glass in this case: high Q of the resonant cavity, and persistence (continuation of the adding of the 'proper' frequency).

  • @MilanKarakas It's about vibration of the air. And vibration is vibration, weather it's caused by your voice or by an emplifyer.

  • @Mathilde11 Not entirely true. Human voice (if untrained to produce single frequency) has many harmonics aside fundamental frequency. And glass need just proper fundamental frequency.

I estimated that in most cases 1/3 of the power of the human voice is at fundamental frequency, and the rest are harmonics. So, amplifier just amplify whole lot of sound frequencies in order to get the right amount of sound power (as you said: vibrations) at fundamental resonance of the glass.

  • 3:17 the glass is like saying fuck this

  • @4d616c65737469636b omg how do you remember your account xD

  • 5:00 air horn :D
