you guys should lighten the fuck up. Bill wrote the song and I'm sure he can decide where/when/how he wants his accompaniment. Not to mention it was recorded off a camera. Who knows how the levels were in the room. I saw him last month with the violinist and this song was ace.
do you think that the violinist just walked on stage out of nowhere? This was music that Bill, at least, approved. It is a little too forward in the mix though. I happen to like the violin. Either it's mixed a little loud or the camcorder mic didn't record it well.
Jesus, but I hate hearing Callahan's beautifully simple melodies slaughtered by hyperactive accompaniment. Somebody should have forcefully removed that fucking violinist. Absolutely NO understanding for the heart-and-soul of the song. So too with the drummer who should've been playing with brushes at least. Play alone Bill, you're waaaaaay better with a good solid solo sound.
@dvon157 Obviously the drummer IS playing with brushes. Also, this is the first time I have ever heard of someone complaining that they would rather a song NOT have a violin in it. The song has violin on the album, as well.
@dvon157 Was so funny (you know not haha funny...) but I have been listening to this for a day or two~ and well, you know... ~~ I youtubed it just now and scrolled down and what do I see? I love you, always
@dvon157 and...I think that this is just a badish recording...too much high end perhaps...but, I would most respectfully have to disagree with you D~~ I love the violin...the violin is the heartstrings of the blood dripping slowly pumping in the heart vessel through the sanguine ocean of magical yesterdays and hOpe*full tomorrows
Does anybody know what he's tuned to when he plays this song?
