@mrkillemall100 Between me and my friends the two strokes are out lasting the four strokes, believe it or not. I've blown my '05 YZ250T up a few times but I can rebuild the top end 4 times and the bottom end once for the same price as a complete head rebuild on a 05+ 450 (yami and honda). Two are sold with more $ into them. The other has a hole in the engine case. The 250f was sold and he bought a new Kawi 250F moster ed. The 250f still eats the Kawi but again $2000+ into the head of the 250f.

@yetilikesbeer yeah well i ride two stroke now, i know about the whole cost thing but it really depends on how you ride, if your just out in the trails every so often, it dosent really matter which one because they'll both last a good while, but if ur goin to the track and running the shit out of it then yeah two strokes cost less. ur really comparing apples to oranges here, they both have thier advantages and disadvantages

@mrkillemall100 Actually the only bike that was used on a track was the YZ250F. The rest were just used for fun trail riding. The hardest thing on them was the odd trip to our local sand dunes at Brule Alberta. The 450 that blew up was a lemon. It was babied, never seen a track, barely hit the rev-limiter. Now most of my friends have 2 strokes because when they want to ride they can ride. Worst case would be the jug.

hey could someone please make a video on how to change the oil for a 2003 yz450f. Theres a bunch of drain areas and the oil runs through he frame.

Simple, drain the oil tank (just above the two oil lines) and the carter.

(located on the bottom rear of engine block, might have to remove aluminium cover)

put about 0,9 litres in the carter (left side) and the rest of the capacity in the oil tank

and hey! your done!

dont forget oil filter!

i recently bought a 04 yz450f new dealer hold over bike and just above the exhaust port on the front head of the motor is a hole that seems to be spitting oil. should there be a plug or has any 1 else had this problem with their bike? any help would be appreciated.

its coming from the plug. check if valve cover is in place.

2nd check if spark plug is sitting right

and if its just little bit 1s in a while its fine..

valve cover cost about 15 bucks.

um for one don't go 2007, 2008, or 2009 YZ450F The 2006 YZ450F will out preform ANY new bike out there!! they have different exhust on the new ones aht supposedly restricts them and other little changes that guys that are buying the new ones are putting 2006 parts into them!! GO 2006 GO

2008 fyz 450 was my first bike and it was perfect right when it hits 5 gear that bike is gone its hits 80 mph stock i would not recamend doing that on dirt though lol

umm, i have the same bike. i couldnt help but hear pops on the decel.

Check carb, clean it out. Adjust fuel screw (on the bottom of carb). if u still get pops. jet it for the colder weather.

If your still confused. come to pv602 (msg me) and i can seriously blow ur bike to shredds. (no lie)

My 03 yz250f does the same thing. Maybe its a yamaha thing? But I did actually "blow my bike to shreds" Blew the shaft through the side of the case somehow. Gave me a reason to buy the yz450f lol.
