Heh, I probably would have taken some of the characters from this expansion more seriously if blizzard had actually gone through the trouble of keeping the original voice actors. Arthas being replaced by Kel'thuzad's VA may have undone some things (I get the feeling the Lady Deathwhisper encounter in ICC was supposed to be a rematch with Kel'thuzad, and KT's new VA in Naxx80 was just...bad). Then came the butchering of poor Sylvannas' voice...

I'm also still waiting on those new dances.

I really don't get why people complained about Blizzard getting lazy after releasing this game. It is clear they aren't interested in WoW at all and this preview highlights that excellently.

Compare it to the Burning Crusade expansion in terms of effort. They built new character models, new textures, and rendered dozens of scenes to showcase their new world.

Two years later they aren't even concerned with how dated their game's graphics have become. This video is lazy to the core.

They focused more or less on making the expansion itself, leaning on their current popularity. Blizzard basically is showing that they don't care.

...the players a chance to see that Illidan had once been a true hero of the warcraft story. It would also give players the chance to get the lich kings helmet and sword as artefact level items. Pity blizzard is going the way of all game companies are going these days and dumbing down the story aspect in favour of getting as many 13 year olds to play their games rather than making epic stories that players will truly want to play through over and over even if it's just lvling their alts.

I prefer the voice earlier on in this vid as the lich king's voice. I also wish that Arthas hadn't been trapped by the ork and frostmourn blade's will when he created the scourge. That would MAKE him evil and feel more in tune to the story and make the final boss fight with him more satisfying. Come to think, killing Arthus and Illidan sort of ruined the story line a bit. What could have been done was to wait a bit longer and have them have a final show down. Redeeming Illidan and giving...
