Reading all the comments...I don't think it has so much to do with race as it does just ignorance, laziness and poor attitude. So many people just don't give a shit about anything. And that attitude gets passed along with each generation. No respect for themselves, or anyone else. It's very aggravating to see people with no pride what so ever, and annoying that we have to live surrounded by trash.
I would say this to the speaker: Do not focus on pointing the finger but rather be the change you would like to see and encourage others to do the same. People are human and make mistakes. Let's not dwell on the misguided steps of the past, but rather look to see where we as individuals can make a change. Sometimes, all you need to do is show people the way. =)

I don't believe the issue of manners or respect for ones community is a racial dilemma since it can be proven that not all black people are afflicted by this issue.
But perhaps touches on a greater issue: the erosion of the family in the projects, specifically the black family.

You are acting as if HISPANICS dont do trifling shit because they do!! And if you are so annoyed by Blacks, go back to your third world country!! At least Blacks dont keep LIVE CHICKENS on their apartment!! Also, No one is FORCING you to live in the projects, you are there by CHOICE

LMFAO...the shitty diaper flying out the 20th floor window! I lived in the city & I know what you mean about piss in the elevator. People used to piss out the window & throw lit cigarettes out the window. on New Years they would light toilet paper on fire & throw it out the window. The housing projects are like a prison colony...it's that way in every major city. Dogs crapping on the sidewalk so that kids can step in it. It's FN disgusting. I'm glad you got a clean apartment at least.
